Offer game as a real GPL opportunity

Post by jugaryotros »

This game is playable, fun, free (¿? al least since this month :-) ), innovative.

IT's DONE since years and played since years.

I am from professional Linux/GNU/Free Software or whatever you want say it. I discoverd this game since few days. I am tired of st**id game grind to make gain money or can't play because need item mall or a plague of kids inside game mad for other games borgin consecuences as ill pvp.
I love territorial wars, i come from 6 years playing extreme FPS as quake, enemy territory (hate cheaters and bots too).

And with all this, i like a game where you are free, you can participate, innovate, maintain great things since years.

We know and read people tired of actual game system MMO, well, here its your chance Ryzom... Lot of us tired before test they and really tired after test pay and no pay games (everquest, wow, pw, sro, and all i tested).

You are not a grinding game, you are not a st**id (simple mechanic) game, you're not as they want we be. You're as you want, we want to be.

Why all this? i think as all people here, we love this kind of games, serious games.

Then this game can or have to be offered to open source community sites as a Open Source SDK for MMO, as it is with NEL project.
Have to look for usual channels.

I spoke here (really a bit) about the Open Source way to offering the chance to participate on development.

Great idea will be to enter in official SDK for MMO in most popular GNU/Linux distro Ubuntu in marketing way terms. Ubuntu is based on Debian as many others. By that, Ubuntu ALWAYS will be free (GPL).

Have to do a .deb package and upload into debian repositories or Ubuntu repositories.
Before we have to test Linux client version...

At this point i am stalled, don't know if exists a usable Linux client version yet. I am looking for it at repositories. I know NEL compiles and multiplatform, but nothing more.

Sorry my English.
Could be possible language interface files for multilingual translation of the client?
