What to solo for a lvl 70 off mage?

That depends on a few things bud. First, how high is your Fear Spell? The Fear kite trick gets much harder the higher you go unless you keep that Fear level up as well. If you have a high fear, then you can take jsut about anything close to your level and be alright. If, like me, you did not keep your Fear up, you'll ahve to find things that you can kill quickly. I'm not sure where you are located, but in Zoran, I am currently hunting various Bawaabs which are easy to kill and give you around 800 - 1800xp at levels in the 70's (I'm 74), usually wihtout the need to cast Fear. Hungry and Scavenging Izams aren't bad either, but Bawaabs seems particularly slow and stupid and they don't social agro nearly as much as the Izams do, at least not in my expereince...

Rememeber, 3000xp a kill isn't really worth it if it takes a long time to kill and is risky. What you want are easy things that net 1500 or so but that you can kill often and with little danger. The increased kill speed combined with not having to walk back from the respawn point constantly will end up speeding up your times vastly. Hope this helps!

Fear 1 totally suffices for mobs up to lvl 80. Fear 2 is fine for lvl 80+ mobs. Which mobs to hunts depend where you are. In Zorai lands the before mentioned Bawaabs are best. In Matis I would take the Javings. If you have Cold hunting the Kizobars or Kipees is not a bad idea, too.

I don't know, even my Fear 2 seems to be resisted a lot more by the higher level mobs to the point where it is pretty dangerous to mess with it, even wth a sucess rate in the 90% range. You have alot more experience in thhis type of thing than I do, however, so I'll defer to your judgement, it just seems that I die quite often trying to solo fear kite things these days...

I seem to recall that some species resist fear effects more than others, though I don't know if thats a flat rate or dependent on which level of fear you're using - I'd prefer the latter as it'd make things more interesting.

Depends how you use it. I basically use it only as enchantment now, that way you can recast it very quickly should it fail.

Gingos are immune to fear as are bodocs (for example). Gingos can be stunned and blinded, bodocs can only be blinded.
