Grouping Question

I have a question about experience gain in groups. My girlfriend and I are playing together, I will be focusing on defensive affliction and healing while she will be the tank. I tend to stay up later playing than her so I will likely outlevel her pretty quickly. I am wondering if being higher level in my respective field than her and casting only healing and defensive affliction spells is going to gimp her exp much when fighting mobs more suited for her level.

If this is the case, I will focus on other areas like offensive magic or melee while we are not grouped.

Yep you will. XP in group depends on the highest level used by members of the team. So best is to use a skill with a level close to her fighting level

Yep, a healer/tank duo is most heavily dependant on the tank. So a higher level tank usually works pretty well, but a higher level healer, not so much.

That is one thing nice about this game is that I can just play a different way on the same character and let my healing level stay around her level.
