Last night I heard about "Civ Boss Gear" in Universe Chat. What are Civ Bosses? It was also rumored that maybe their drops were repairable.
Thanks

Re: "Civ Boss Gear"
The bosses in question are NPCs that drop rare crafting plans. The gear crafted from these plans is very rare, though not particularly better than other gear available. It serves mainly as a symbol of the dedication and effort required to obtain it.
Acquiring a full set of "Pei" armor, for example, is a major accomplishment for a guild or large group. It's not something a single individual can do. Guilds who have managed it frequently keep the gear in common, or in some rare cases may give it as a reward to an individual.
The gear is recognizable because it looks quite different from the regular racial plans.

Re: "Civ Boss Gear"
Now a question regarding the plans themselves:
When the boss is killed and the plans are dropped, can only one person "learn" how to make the item from the plans and then the plan is consumed and disappears? Or can the plan be passed around the Guild allowing more people to learn how to make the item?
Thanks!

Re: "Civ Boss Gear"
there are 4 bosses aen/lixie/sergio/pei each with their own coloured armour. When you kill one they drop 4 thingsneverdie wrote:Now a question regarding the plans themselves:

1 armour part of their colour (i.e sergio sleeve part)
1 craft plan (sleeve crafting plan part 1)
1 crystal
and a few bunches of Q200 catylisers
the craft plan has to be combined with its equivlent from the other 3 bosses, so you need craft part 1/2/3/4. to make a total plan which then only 1 crafter can learn.
once you have the craft plans to make an armour part you use normal materials + the crystal the boss drops, it takes 7 crystals to make 1 set of armour.
and thus why its a major pain in the arse
Re: "Civ Boss Gear"
@darkhound: If I am reading that correctly, it looks like they drop an armor part & part of a plan to make the armor? That's interesting. I can see why nobody would actually use these items for combat... lots and lots of work to replace them!
Re: "Civ Boss Gear"
no point having them if you aint gonna pvp in themneverdie wrote:@darkhound: If I am reading that correctly, it looks like they drop an armor part & part of a plan to make the armor?
