Do we have to be told about our drivers?

Every time I log in, I get the pop-up trying to redirect me to get updated drivers for my nVidia card. It is annoying (though harmless) since I know full well I am not using nVidia's latest drivers. In this case I use the Omega drivers since I have found my performance to be substantially better using Omega over native nVidia drivers.

Is there a way to turn this off? There are a lot of reason for people to not upgrade to the latest drivers besides using alternate ones.

Maybe having a checkbox say 'Don't ask me this again' like other Window pop-ups have would be a better way to go.
