I'm posting because i got bored at work and did the math. "27, 400 craft sp?! what are you talking about..." well lets me just show you.
Total Earnable Skill Points:
Skill level 1-21 = 200sp Total = 200sp
Skill level 21-51 = 1200sp Total = 1400sp
Skill level 51-101 = 7000sp Total = 8400sp
Skill level 101-151 = 19000sp Total = 27400sp
You get skill points each skill level you gain. At 21 crafting splits into 4 skills. At 51 those 4 split into 14 skills. At 101 those 14 split into 38 skills, mostly from armor then weapons.
If you were to spend the (very extreme amount of) time and (millions and millions of) dappers to craft in every branch you can get 27,400 skill points at 151. I don't know the if anything splits at 151, so that is as high as a calculated. I don't see any reasonable splits in anything except Ranged Crafting at 151. It could still split into Bow/Normal Pistol/Rifle as well as splitting into skills for Ammo. The Ammo could even split into Pierce/Slash/Smash at some point.
What does this mean to you? Well if you reach 101 in every skill you will have gained enough skill points to have EVERY plan including MQ but not better as well as Q100 craftings and all the +Stats upto that point. I did this at work so i may be off a couple of plans i forgot or don't know about. So at 101 in everything you will have nearly everything you can possibly craft. Skilling up everything to 151 gives you over double the skill points you're earn to that point.

What would you do with them? Simple. Buy the higher lvl skills to earn the levels. That's what most of it gets wasted on.
This is assuming one would actually take the time to craft every single category, subcategory, and so-on to earn the points... rather rediculous assumption.
