once bitten, twice shy.... *crying*

OK, no bars hold now.... it will take a micracle to save us (prays anyway),

I need closure, and apologise to all who dont wish to read this.
I like many still here, were a 2004 closed/open beta testa
I played when it went live
but when Nevrax announced its financial problems.. it was easily lured way.

weak, yes i was.
I got to try the marked; EQ2, WoW, GW, etc
RYZOM ROCKS!!!
SoR is a uniqure, unmatchable game
And rhe community is the best ever of all games out there.

Point of this post...
I was in so much pain the first time.. i fled.

Today... i am just numb.

I am afraid to speak my mind as it may be so controversial the law has to step in.... but seriously... how can anyone wait 10 months, then pull the plug over night.

For at least 2 months, we the community have been aware things are not well... but GF refused to comment.
They allow us to sign up for 6, and 12 month subs... fully aware that such durations would be fairtale in achievement of running.

So out there you have hardcore loyale supporters, not only paid money for something they wont receive... but despite the pety/lame 3-free-months commment.. the servers have been unplayable even before the offical "closure" noticed was realeased.

Seriously GF, have the feckin balls to admit you purchaed the IP of SoR for your own greedy needs.
That SoR players were your guniea pigs to further maximise any potential for future endovors.

Your scum, and band my damn account... the game is over thanks to you.

The buisness world isn't our world is it. Seriously when the banks and the accountants walk in the heart and soul of creative people walk out.
They do what they do...simple as. Someone says they make the world go round....I just think they stop they world from being brighter, shinier and more colourful than ever....sorry if that sounds a bit Jayney hippy nonsense (maybe I should have been a kami afterall) but thats how I feel.
The thing is what we gonna do...Jayneylou doesn't want to die just get...shes had a mad crush on Jayce for years and he has never given her the time of day *pout*

Ive been trying to decide what, or if, to post in dealing with this situation for a while now. I have been in a state of shock all day.

I cannot honestly believe that a company would be so ignorant and stupid as to completely ignore their customers. I totally understand that the game is/has not been very profitable, and that a company cannot continue just because some players still exist, but the total lack of communication shows that Game Forge doesn't even consider us customers.

What happened to Customer Service? The poor customer service representatives have been in the dark just as much as the players, yet they have to bear all the bad news to us. I thank you guys for dealing with the players who blame you, its not your fault. Your time is appreciated by many, even if it doesn't appear that way sometimes.

I want thank the original developers for their work to create this diverse, living world I have inhabited these three short months. Its been quite a ride, and Ive yet to see anything that comes close.

I want to thank my new friends. You all know who you are, you made this world real for me. I hope to keep in touch.

Lastly, I want to thank Game Forge. You guys have provided the perfect example of how not to treat the consumers of your product. Total lack of communication demonstrates exactly what your company is driven by, a bunch of bean-counting ignorants who cant see past their own noses. I hope this will forever stain your companies further game efforts and tarnish any reputation you have so far. You are completely inept and I for one am sorry to have furthered you with the money I paid so far.

There is so much more I want to say.. But I cant put it into words. Be safe friends, and let us keep our good memories.

Long live Atys.
What's in a name? That which we call Hatori by any other name would drag as much aggro.

Very difficult to express how angry I feel at GF which, I think, never even tried to understand our game and its unique aspects.

Even knowing that it would be very unlikely to see anyone show up as an eventual buyer (going bankruptcy Twice in less than a year doesn't make the business look worth it) I ll try to keep hope...

I ll see in three weeks from now in the meanwhile I ll be in Vanguard along with some of my ryzom guildies. I can't stand loggin on Atys knowing it will be over soon, I would rather keep a good memory of the whole adventure I experienced there.

Farewell,

Hope to cross the path of most of you again
You guys were the best community ever.
