Loading hangs up after character select ( XML error ) or Ryzom crashes after character select but not on all characters:


If you receive this error after selecting your character from the character select screen, it means you have a corrupt save file. Ryzom should recover from this error and on your next restart the Game will load properly but you may lose your interface or map markers.

If you have a backup of your save folder you can restore the files and restart Ryzom. If you do not have a copy of your save files you will have to recreate or otherwise replace your map markers and interface customization.


If you do not have a copy of your save folder or Ryzom continues to give you the error you can delete or rename your save folder and relaunch the game.

If you continue to have problems rename or delete the \Ryzom\unpack and run client_background_downloader_rd.exe from the \Ryzom folder and select "repair" to re download any corrupted game files then restart Ryzom.
