New flags on map are faction/guilds region territory declarations ?

Noticed that on the map window, there are a whole bunch of new flags now.

Are they region parts that have been declared/conquered by guilds or similar ?

Didn't you just zoom in a bit further? Flags for outposts and towns aren't visible until you zoom in.

On the mainland you will have the flags you make, those of the city and the stables as well as the outposts.

There are typically (some regions are smaller) 4 OP's per region (excluding Nexus and PR), of which currently 2 are in gameplay. All utilized outposts are currently under ownership and part of our best gameplay is the wars and politics that have changed owners over time.
