Inspired by the "Best Animations in Game" thread, what are ya most favorite and least favorite sounds in game ?
Most Fav - Roar often heard while in PR sounds like some monstrous brachyasaurus which just sends chill up spine. Would be very cool for an event for a mob to show up which makes this sound.....though I have come to prefer thinking this is the groan of Ryzom "growing" pushing its roots into the sky.
Least Fav - Izam wing flapping....mostly cause it's ever present at Pyr stables.

My favourite sound is the cuttler shout, sounds like a wolf shout to me.
Another one i like is the named Kitin loud one especially wikkah or rippa down in the PR. It s really scaring to ear suddenly that sound when you dig when you dig in the PR for a while.
I also like the ambient sounds in the PR or in the Jungle/forest...that s really relaxing

Re: Best Sounds in Game
Generally dont have sound working in game, doesnt worry me enough to try and fix it.
Dont know if this qualifies.. Firstly its music and not a sound effect as such, and secondly its not really a favourite so much as an unwanted imposition that over time I have come to a philosophical acceptance of, and now like an offensive and embarrasing relative that I will still fight to defend.
I am talking of course, about the pretty music that plays whilst I am lying dead on the cold hard ground...

That would have a profound effect on my DP level. Without the pitter patter of big monster feet as they try and sneak up from behind, my digging hours would be very short lived.danlufan wrote:ive never played with sounds so i wouldnt know, never played with them either, switched them off on day one![]()
Re: Best Sounds in Game
the wierd whistling sounds yuo get in the jungle and lakes - not sure if its wombai that are making them; I'm sure I've heard them with no wombai about, but again, not sure.
3:1, 2:1, 1:1 ... probability factor of one to one; we have normality. I repeat: we have normality. Anything you still can't handle is therefore your own problem.
