Code 60?

Post by burnie12 »

Whenever I try to log in to Ryzom, The game gives me an "error: can't send (code 60)" message. What's this mean and how can I fix it?

Well, I opened those ports and still got the same error. I figured that it might be trying to get to an old server location since it was an old install, so I redownloaded the client and reinstalled. Now when I try to log in I keep getting a "checksums do not correspond" when the checker gets to 235/236. It forces an unpacking but I'm stuck in a loop of Cecksum failures and client restarts. Is there anything I can do short of redownloading the whole thing *again*?

Would you be using windows Vista by chance?
Try longing into Klients and We can try to get you sorted out from there. You may not have to re download the whole game.

Alternatively you could run the installer again and attempt toinstall onlythe files needed for the trial version of Ryzom instead of the full game. there is less to download and things tend to go faster and smoother when you do a "half load".

I reinstalled using the trial setting but It wont run when I click "start Ryzom." I have looked through the folder it installed into and the only .exe I can find is the downloader. For some reason there are two of them in there? Trying to run the one with the more recent modification date Gives me a "missing .dll" error. In answer to your question about my OS, I am running win 2k.

Ive heard that the installer sometimes leaves stuff in the unpack folder. have you checked that out?

Yes, that's where I found the second downloader that gives me the dll error. That still leaves me with the porblem of not having an actual program to run.

*new post*
I just ran the full intaller AGAIN. now it connects, has no checksum errors, but THIS time it fails to launch the downloader to check for a patch. I've wasted more than 24 hours trying to solve this problem and at this rate, a $15 subscription payment. Needless to say, I am NOT happy.
