banned from Ryzom

Post by djtuga »

I got a message ingame that says "You have been permanently banned from Ryzom."

I dont know whats going on. I didnt do anything to get banned.

I tryed already to do fresh install of game about 3 times, messed with computer etc.

After 3 installs i can again log in the game but the message still the same.

I can see other players moving around but cant see names or chat and cant move also.

Thank you for any help.

I suggest you get on klients, or open a ticket in game, or tell a GM or CSR in game. You should find them with /who gm

Hi there,
regarding your problem, you seem to be suffering the same problem as this http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29315
After much time working with this player we discovered that it was in fact his windows instalation that was at fault, other symptoms included unacountable errors on web pages, We did manage to fix this issue but it did require the player to reload his opperating system, the error for this player like yourself appeared with no warning and the symptoms as you can see from his post are identical.
I hope this helps

Androbia, he is not the only one.

I was playing until the latest patch was scheduled to begin. Went back in to download the patch, everything was fine until my character downloaded.

Then I get the message "You have been permanently banned from Ryzom" flashing across my screen.

I tried to contact a CSR, but the Sys. Info screen keeps repeating the message, so I was unable to see which CSR was online.

I finally logged off as I was unable to contact anyone in game and unable to move.

Tried to start game again, but now the game wants to download approximately 1,629mb worth of information (98 files).

I am downloading all the files and will try to play again as I figure this is what the problem is for me.

If this does not work I will send another ticket in.

interesting....

things to check.....
if file or directory "c:\3289763c1ecd044e" exists, remove or rename it.
if file or directory "c:\windows\78d0732e50bf2bbd" exists, remove or rename it.
if registry key "PB" exists under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nevrax\ryzom", remove it (to be safe, do search for Nevrax and well... it should be safe to remove them)

PS! dont ban the messenger ;-)

If this fixes the problem for the players that are experiencing the issue, it wont be a ban :) It will more likely be a celebration and we'll have to attempt to hijack and rename the pero statue project.

This is a much more palatable option than an OS reinstall. If it happened to me i'd be really annoyed having to reinstall xp again. so i hope it works!

I am sorry to disappoint you, but the Pero Project is already well under way. And besides, this minor triumph deserves its own site and frakah workforce.
