Hope this helps someone else.

If you patch (I patched on May 04, not 03) and get a message upon relaunch that can not launch the file downloader, this may be the problem

The file client_background_downloader_rd.exe was not placed into my \Ryzom parent directory. I only found a copy in the \Ryzom\unpack directory. Copying the file from the \unpack directory to the parent directory, launching it and running REPAIR solved the problem.
