help with this setting problem please

The problem i have is actually 2. After i start the game it never saves in fullscreen mode and the sound is always off. When i go into the game options it says sound is enabled and its in fullscreen even though its windowed. I can click it off and on again and itll reset to fullscreen, but i would like to have it saved that way. The 2nd problem is bad, the sound turns off everytime i leave. In the game options itll say sound is on tho. If i click sound off and on again in game itll crash with a fatal error to desktop. After the crash i can start the game without sound and change it in game and sound will work. its alittle annoying. here is my system specs all updated

windows xp home
core2 duo 6600
nvidia 8800 gtx
creative soundblaster x-fi
2gigs ram

The problem you are experiencing at the moment regarding no sound ingame is a known issue i'm afraid and relogging normaly fixes this.
As far as your desktop resolution can you check that your game resolution is at least matching your desktop resolution you can do this by opening your ryzom folder and running ryzom_configuration_rd.
