Errors while playing

The first one happend while i was running around the newbie area

I run a amd 3300+ Ati x1600pro 2gigs of ram and just an onboard sound card

Two thoughts immediately come to mind here.
Although Ryzom works perfectly well with many onboard sound cards, you may want to try reducing your sound settings. Toggling off EAX may help.If you already are using minimal sound settings check to see if updated drivers are available for your chipset.

Another possiblity is a bad bit of ram. You can test your ram with a utilty such as memtest.

Please let us know if neither of these suggestions helps so that we can delve deeper into the problem if needed.

turned my sound down to minimun but the eax was already disabled off the bat, got these two errors now and ram shouldn't be bad since i'm not getting a blue screen

Looks exactly like the same problem I am having. I thought it was the fact I had to put in a new power suppl, but I now see its not on my side but must be something wrong with the server??

I'm having the same NeL report. I have alot off crashes and alwys it mentions the same line with the "sound_driver_fmod.cpp"

I tried to reduce tracks and even did a complete fresh setup of my computer.

And had a extend memtest running with no failures.

And as far as i remeberde this was comming up since the patch we had a few weeks back. Don't know if that is related but I sure want to know what I can do to fix this porblem

Hi can you tell me please does this crash apear to happen after re enabeling your sound in game?

It's definately a sound oriented problem, you should begin by using the "no sound" option in the configuration utility and work from there.

Ok. I did try to play with sound disabled and I had far less crashes to go through but still had some. The NeL report is a bit similar as the above 1.
