minor things which can be anoying.

Post by lordzren »

this is not a hate thread. i love the game and i am not flaming anything about it. these are just some things i have picked up which i find can be anoying. none of the affect my fun tho.

1) lack of diffrent styles of armor etc. most ppl look like clones of the next person in full heavy armor. i am sure many new armor types will come out. but for now this kinda bugs me.

2) need for more skill points per level. as it is before you hit lvl 50 its very hard to pick the skills you badly need (hp/regen /damage etc) and still have some points left to play with picking skills which you dont need as much. even if we had a skill reset this woudnt fix it i dont think.

3) monster aggro... if you have aggro the only way of loosing it is .. kill the monster, get killed or get help to kill the monster.. if your like 3km away from a town and you get aggro from something(s) you cannot kill you have to run back to town or die.

4) range ammo. i know it shouldnt be cheap or easy to get but the amount you make should be raised to say 100 shots per ammo pack made. i dont think the cost of making should be dropped. its nice that there is one skill which is just that bit harder to raise .. but only getting 15-20 shots per pack makes it just too much like hard work.

5) as you cannot use mission looted items unless you have the mission to start with i dont think they should be in the loot window unless you have the mission. this is anoying to say the least.

6) when your chr is standing still they... well .. dont stand still.. they will look around play with there wep, JUST STAND STILL.. lol. well .. umm.. i would like it if the time game between chr idle amimations are increased to like 30 seconds.

sorry to do that 1 2 3 4 etc thing .. some silly things which bug me. anyone got any comments or adds?

oh no big crap just the small stuff which could do with some tweaking.

There are four races, and three types of armor, once all races are in one spot that is 12 different armor looks, plus the MQ version so 24 different looks.

Mage SP is insane, Fighter is easy. I didn't take ANY of the aimed hits, maybe later on down the road I will bother with it...but...not at low levels. So I had HP and regen to the MAX asap, and had SP to burn and more in that one.

Mage I end up pulling with magic and beating the mobs down, without the stanzas fixed....it is UGLY to try and buy a single spell per FIVE levels??!! You are kidding me, it should be a spell per level, with all you have to buy before you move to mainland. Plus you can't buy upgrades, or maybe it was just late that night.

I actually LIKE that you can't have kiters or quad kiters. In EQ those FOOLS tended to get more people killed when they had too many, or intentionally scraped off their extras on AFK people.

Mission loot is going to be fixed in patch one. If you HAVE the mission POP, right into your inventory (provided you have the room) if you don't, it will not even show up.

I agree a bit, they do seem to have ants in their pants. But it is better than just standing like a stone.

Range ammo is a bit busted right now anyway, my Tryker was making better ammo from JUNK Basic dropped mats q10, with stats that should have made NOTHING decent, the stats on this mess was higher than CHOICE Q20. I tried to repeat the results and it seemed as if anything made was a purely RANDOM roll of the dice. I was wondering if I could throw in the mission crap hit "ammo" button and get the best ammo in the world.

BUT the ranged crafting issue is slated for fixing too.

SP per level is fine. It is not meant to be a do it all system. Especially for mage ... each mage is built and faught different.

I for one like that my avatar moves and fiddles with his weapons when I am not doing anything. My favorite is with the dagger, they flip it up in the air and catch it. Sometimes i just sit and watch them for a minute. I personaly think that as your character growes in lvl they should do some cooler things like mages play with balls of acid/ice/rot or fighters spar with themselves. It is the little things that show you that Nerax put some thought into all aspects of the game.

Maybe not so minor, when someone is training aggressive mobs to the guards to get them off the resources those mobs will stop and attack a harvester, someone afk, basically anyone between them and the kiter. Not fun to be on the receiving end of a train.

If you are afk outside the city ... sorry but you pretty much asked for it. I do understand that things do come up. But sitting right outside the city when it would take you about 10-20 seconds to get into the city ...

not to mention, death penalty is a JOKE in this game. no matter what lvl you are, you can harvest it away in 5 mins easy. hell, i duel without a healer half the time. who cares!

I'd like to see you harvest away 400,000 DP. You're obviously not too high a level yet if you can harvest away your DP in 5 minutes.

1)

'Agree' While it is relatively new, my first impression of this game was SWG, All over again. Not a bad thing but not much until later. Different colored armors based on stats and materials used is a nice touch, but not when it is applied in the same way on the same set of armor, thousands of times. If you want to see a very large variety in armor types and appearances, look at Anarchy Online for example.

2)

'Strongy Agree' I just simply cannot put into understandable english words about how much I wish you gained more skill points per level. Right now there isn't much help that suggests what you should take for what role you want to play so a lot of SP will be spent in skills you wish you hadn't taken.

3)

'Agree' First day playing, I died countless times to aggressive mobs (Most famous: Gingo, Ragus) and after learning how to adapt to the hostile environment and meet each encounter with success.. They still make me rip my hair out when I just even see them on my screen. What adds to such a bad experience is it is IMPOSSIBLE to run away from a mob that you know you won't be able to kill that attacks you.

4)

This is something that could be fixed easily, Ammo is so abundant in games, this one it is so costly and limited unless you are an ammo crafter. Which now brings you back to #2 about skill points.

5)

Another simple fix (which I already know is being fixed in I think patch 1) Make it so quest/task items only appear when quest/task is running.

6)

'Neutral' Ive played many MMORPG's were characters or 'avatars' how ever you prefer it remain motionless or have idle stances. For example, characters breathing and not fiddling around and making sure every little noise is examined. Breathing, minor movements (adjusting leg posture etc) are good, Playing with your sword, drawing stuff in the ground, scratching your face, and looking every which direction every 2 seconds is bad.

Sorry for writing novels of text, these are just my 2 cents of what I have experienced. Some things I left out include: Finding appropriate mobs for you, more advanced tutorial system etc.

Suggestions?
