Launch and relaunch, then okay
Launch and relaunch, then okay
Since managing to reinstall everything from scratch yesterday, I've had this funny little glitch: Every time I restart Windows and launch Ryzom it shows me the patch notes and gives me the button to Relaunch Ryzom as if it had just patched. Fine, it relaunches and then behaves as normal. Any ideas why this is and how to fix it, please?
Re: Launch and relaunch, then okay
Umm, an additional problem is one with my old save files. I thought I was able to recover interface_jamela.icfg and keys_jamela.xml from my crashed disk but I get an error on loading : "Interface XML reading failed! ... " I get the same with several versions, one less than a month old, the others about a year old. Any idea if there is another file I should try to recover to make them work or are they simply corrupted?
And, err, which file is it that contains all my map markers? (Is the really important question

Re: Launch and relaunch, then okay
It may be that you are trying to use your corrupted save files. And if those are your only copy... then you lost your flags.

Re: Launch and relaunch, then okay
map markers are in .icfg file. depending how corrupted .icfg is, it may be possible to recover them. pm me where i can dl you .icfg and i will check what i can do.jamela wrote:And, err, which file is it that contains all my map markers? (Is the really important question)
Re: Launch and relaunch, then okay
Thank you for the offer, blaah. Guess what, hehe? I uploaded the first file to my webspace and got a pop up asking me if I wanted to overwrite the file already there
. I swear I looked before! I guess I was expecting them to be in a folder and was too tired to read the file list. The files I had stored there were nearly two years old, though, so have very few map markers and many of the settings seem not to apply to the new interface that was implmented last year, but I got my key settings back \o/.

Re: Launch and relaunch, then okay
Are you still experiancing your relaunch issues?
If so, can you please check to see if a new file called "WinStabilizer.exe" is present in your C:\Windows\system folder? It appears that a lot of trojan killers don't see this file, or haven't had an update written for it yet. This file corrupts your patches and eats your bandwidth. Delete it and all should return to normal.
