Is it me, or are these new servers EXTREMELY Lagtacular?!?

Man, this lag/connection since the server change has been unplayable at times for me, and many others I game with, is this happening for many others as well?

I've been given "please wait" signals that never quit and froze my game up 5 times since monday, and thats not even mentioning the more bearable ones that come in the 10-20 second stall variety, or the ever popular "rapid fire" please wait flavor that has been enjoyed by thousands since ryzoms launch.

I sure hope that this is just "growing pains " of the new servers, and that this isnt to be expected or regular from now on. No matter how bad the loss of our GM/CsR's are, at least I was looking forward to the "silver lining" of having more reliable servers, which for me has most definetly not been the case since the move.

Does anyone else notice the same problems? Is it just me? Am I going crazy? Where did my pants go? .....wait...where DID my pants go?!?

Well, I've only a small grow in ping, but in the other hand I get now less "Please Wait" and "stall" than before the change.

Generally I see that more stable than before. I guess that it depends of the connection and the route you get (Most of times is matter of luck). I don't know why, but I think that you're from USA, isn't it? Maybe a bad route to the new place or something similar, maybe something can be done, I don't know; but when I mencioned my bigger ping to phelan he ask me to send him a PM with my tracert, so surely something can be done...

I've not noticed things being any more laggy. A slightly higher ping is all.

I will say that there seems to have been a 'feature' introduced a few patches ago where Ryzom will lock up when I teleport. Not the old crash on 'landing' due to loading scenary, etc. but a new lock up when the ticket gets activated and then the screen just locks at the location I am teleporting from.

Ive been having "stalls" constantly since the servers where changed over, zerlin suggested a ping plotter and resetting my router, not tried the first yet ...

those who want to do ping plotter, new ip's should be ari5.rzl01.gameforge.fr or something similar. check ryzom/data folder for .string_cache file names (ari5.rzl01.gameforge.fr.string_cache for example). log file has them too.
old ip's should be somewhere in tech support section

My ping rose like 200 points. Places are bad, and I have a good new PC that was working perfectly till the move.

Yes I'm US, i also considered maybe that had something to do with it, but my friend Wezzy's also been havin similar issues and he's UK, so I don't really know. Sounds just like it is for Kye/yaffle though, for those its happening to it really is quite bad. I guess i'll give em a ticket tommorrow to welcome our new suport staff! Good luck you guys.
