I thought of a practical idea that could benefit everyone IG and be a pretty usefull dapper sink. Make a system to buy off DP, at say 5 dappers per DP point. would be affordable at lower levels and get quite pricey at higher levels..would be 2.3 mill dappers per death at 250, which could add up fast. even 10 dappers a death might be something to look at, but that may get a little too pricey for all but the richest homins.
of course this isn't something that would be manditory, but rather optional like the accelerators currently available. it would give a homin the option of using skills to erase a DP or burning up some of the massive amount of dappers some have to do so.
Thoughts?
Idea for game money sink
Re: Idea for game money sink
Isn't it the same as the "Divine kiss of Ma-duk" with a black skull on it?
Somehow doesn't seem worth wasting dapper on... at least for me..
working of DP in teams is fast and fun imho

Re: Idea for game money sink
How exactly do the "Divine kiss of Ma-duk" and "Divine kiss of Jena" work?
Are they worth the cost? Are the more expensive ones worthwhile?
How can the size of the DP involved be used to decide if it is worth purchasing these items?
These items don't appear in your inventory when purchased, and once I bought one and it did not seem to have any effect on my DP at all.
Thanks,
Amphiaraus

Re: Idea for game money sink
DP reduces over real-life time. I forget the exact rate but it is something like 1 DP disappears in ~ 2 days. The Divine Kisses increase the rate of dp removal. So if you buy the most expensive Kiss, 1 DP will be gone or nearly gone overnight (or between my logins anyway).ark014 wrote:How exactly do the "Divine kiss of Ma-duk" and "Divine kiss of Jena" work?

I think this would be a nice idea to implement as an emergency, i.e if there is a hunt happening there and then and you want to be in on it without wasting team time on burning dp. Or if you've just dug a ton of mats and get killed right before you start crafting them. For both of these times I think I would use this feature. Otherwise I just like as much money as possible so I can put it in a big hole and wallow in it occassionally.

Re: Idea for game money sink
The Thing is DP are there for a reason.
Granted, the only reason is to sort of "punish" you for dying, but I think we´re quite lucky around here. In other games you actually delevel dying or your stats decrease sigificantly, or your armour waers out.
So DP is ok for me, espacially if I´ve just git to dig 10 sources or kill some mobs to get rid of them. More Mats to sell, more dappers.
Okay, we need a money sink, I agree. But not this way.
------------ Edited for embarassement *g* -------------
Man, I realy suck an math... *lol*
I think it´s OK, especially because most players nowadys can afford the highest ones. With no money sinks in Game
Even "Lowbes" soon are able to buy them in my experience, but mostly they don´t realy need them for a good while.
I´d like a money sink more in the way of renting another appartment or more guildspace as was prposed before
Ah, and did you notice that Crystals even increase your DP workoff rate.- Double XP, double DP workoff.
Oooh, I can hear you shouting: What a waste. *LOL*

*giggle* Nice mathsacridiel wrote:...Normaly the DP vanish at a rate of say 10% DP off per hour real time logged off the game.
The first Kiss/Hug-Pact increases this amount to 20% per hour.
The second 30 %, the third 40% up to 50%, meaning it takes half the time for your DP to wear of now then normaly.
So normaly ot would take say 24 hours for them to vanish, with the highest pact it only takes 12.
