Reduce SELF HEAL TIMERS FROM 370 seconds, to 30ish seconds.
REASONING:
1: PVE, this will resolve the problem about soloing being pretty much undoable, and at the same time making sure the problem with soloing everything wont appear, due to the dmg output of bosses/high level mobs. You will run out of stamina, hence die, just last a little bit longer. Unless you mix the 2 (hP and stam) and get tiny heal of both, which basicly has the same effect.
2: OP fights. At the current system, a team will whipe and use ages coming back to the OP fights. This will make the ability to last longer there, and with that, the ability to use tactics more.
3: GROUP PvP: Same as OP. Instead of a the current system, where a team gets outnumbered, all dies, exept for one, that runs, heals, tries to come back and rez, then realises its hopeless, because he has no self heal. You can use tactics to actually be able to do a comeback. Making LONGER fights, which I think alot of people will think is fun.
4: Duels: Atm, tbh 30 second duels isnt the absolute most fun I can think off.
Making the timers shorter, will enable the ability to use a few IN ONE DUEL, making duels longer, and using tactics, the ability for long, fun duels.
(disclaimer, this is not a joke, or a flame, this is a suggestion that I believe would work for everyone's benefit, AND is easy to put in the game).
(I am NOT talking about Aura timers btw, ONLY self heals)

that will make it, IF you manage to use tactics, say in a duel, to use maybe 1-2 heals during a duel, maybe even more. Expanding the time of the duel to something long and that actually takes skill use and planning, it would make bleeds and dots more effective, because they would matter more, maybe if you could even increase the duration on those with a few seconds.
Or in a bosshunt, you could be able to have REAL tanks, if the healer ran out of sap, the tank could be able to hold the boss off JUST long enough for the healer to regen SOME sap and HP and get the rest of the team up.
Think about it, the server population isnt that big, and alot of things REQUIRE a big a group.
This wouldnt KILL that, it would just LOWER it a slight tad on some things.

If self heal went up, magic heal would have to go down to compensate. Reducing it to 180 seconds would, IMO, be about the limit of acceptability if everything else remained the same.

This is true, but reducing the power of a heal isnt that difficult either, it would make surviveability a bit better nowadays imho.grimjim wrote:You're messing with balance.

The SHs could use a slight reduction, But no where near down to 30 seconds... If that were so, It wouldnt just 'lengthen' OP battles, It would make the battles last for ever... no whipes
... Untill time was up, or a side just gave up (IMO)...

you know a whole load of people quit when they last reduced heals, cause they thought it was made impossibly low.. I'm all for reducing it again, along with nuke dmg and melee.
Fights are way too short and easy atm.
on topic, i would agree for duels it would be useful for aura's and self heals to reset after the fight to how they were, not in other circumstances though.

The first heal reduction wasn't bad, And IMO was for the best... the old heals also would have made OP battles last forever, But I don't want them to be reduced again. Tho, depending on the reduction, It could be ok..
I do NOT want to see ele and melee dmg decresed... Unless resist on jewels was decreased aswell >.> Because it would become impossible to kill a melee with ele if the melee had good resist... As it is now, its not easy, And a good melee with good resist can murder ele's... I think the power of melee and ele is pretty well balanced (excluding 1h speed/damage rates, I think they could use a touch up)
