Hi,
As being new to the game and his world, i would find out anything i can about, the story of ryzom.
I can read it here and there ingame, or forum. But all these loose pieces of information makes it even more confusing to me.
Is there a threat(s) or links that give me the whole story of this world ?

Oh, I surely hope not.

Sorry, to disagree and probably break loose a new wave of arguing here and now, but I for myself don´t want to know everything. I want to explore the mysteries of this world bit by bit over time and play.
The so called "Encecopedia Missions" are the beginning of that. Sadly they are mostly unfinished
Granted this could surely have started earlier and I don´t wanna argue about that. (I allready hear them howling).
But for me at last its more motivating getting to know a world piece by piece then having a massive volume of lore to read through and be an expert.
Even in Pen & Paper RP´s I avoid reading sourcebooks as long as I´m not the GM of choice.
I want to experience the lore. Not have it presented on a plate. And it doesn´t matter one bit to me how long this will take.
History is slow in the making
I know many of you will disagree, but please don´t let this become another flamefest. I´ve read what there is of lore,
I Know there are holes in it, I want to find out gradually, ok?

Re: the lore of ryzom
i dont disagree with you, and i dont want an whole story, but a bit of background, lets say, the border of the puzzle would be enough, then i can have something to build on, and make my own story, with my caracter in it.acridiel wrote:Oh, I surely hope not.

There is also lore to be found in the Saga forums where the weekly official events are posted

Re: the lore of ryzom
I am doing some lore research for my lil podcast and I am LOVING it. Atys doesn't seem to have this massive, 10000 year history. It feels like a new place, relatively, and we are still young races! I just went and read all the lore on the site, minus some of the stories, and I'm slowly picking through images and other things that give clues.
I agree to, that I don't want it all handed to me on a plate, but in small amounts, or I like to have it out there and discover it!
Oh oh could you imagine if there were hidden areas...like underground pockets that could be discovered through digging or excavation or something that would hold bits of pottery or weapons from years past...and you could display those items in your house?
Awesssoommee..
