Need rollback or immediate help for Tryker crafters

Post by farnum »

During the event, several crafters lost there pack animals and their stuff, due to the lag bug. The packs continued to follow them but were just mobs and could not be accessed. One lost everything when GM told him to relog. With the reboot all was lost. Trykers cannot afford to lose crafters who will not return if they cannot get their stuff back.

Why do these crafters keep their packers out of the stables? Stable the horses, and use items/get items as you need them from the stables. You can craft quite happily inside the stables with your animals secured and save with access to ALL the mats in your pack and on your animals. Draggin aournd a 120k beast so you can craft anywhere or for whatever purpose is kinda dumb, as they die quickly.

but if they chose to do so they should not come across a bug that makes their packs turn into mobs (assuming this is what the original poster was trying to say).

not everyone has to play their game like you.

a guildmate of mine had 3 bugged packers ... He had to wait a day before they were fixed. Not sure exactly what happened, but this is why I keep mine in the stables.

When you have as much stuff as I do, its impossible to leave it at the stables. Sometimes you want to craft with the spare mats you quartered and harvested and you have to buy store mats to complement them. IE. You have quartered armor shell, stuffing, but need to buy resin and clothes etc. Since you have all that problems with stacking etc, it would take hours just to move all that stuff to your bag. Especially if you run around with full bags.

Thankfully they fixed this, lets hope it doesn't happen again.

Go buy your store mats then walk back to the stables??

I have never once needed to pull out any of my 3 packers, and I am an avid crafter in light armor and 2h melee weapons. If you can ever go around without your packers, then do it.. makes life alot easier + safer + cheaper... and saves some hearloss if you end up losing a packer and all its stuff.

its a long walk to the tryker stables from the lvl 50 mats vendors. On top of that I often have near full inventories. Its impossible to buy more than 40-50 mats for me without loading down my inventory. I need to be able to grind out stuff one at a time and sell them at the vendor and buy more mats. This is not possible if I have to constantly run back and forth between the stables and the mats store. I try to organize my packers so they hold only the type of crafting I need to do so I usually only bring one packer out. Saturday I happened to pull both packers out so I could go to the mission trainer and stack my items. That was when the bug hit.

Ok, the reason that they have legs is because they are supposed to be mobile. Otherwise, the "stable" should be a bank, and the "packers" should be safety deposit boxes. You're advice is to learn to live with the bug, rather than encourage the devs to fix it.
