Loading issue

Is it just me orrrrr....

After launching game from desktop it can take 3mins + to load up to the login screen most times I am waiting 5 mins or so?

My drivers are v much up to date and i use a P4 3.6 HT pc wid 1 gig o ram.

Any help wud be appreciated.

Is your hdd activity heavy all the way through loading? Should have a light on your case, usually orange or green that flickers....if its constantly on hard then try a defrag.

A mintue or two would be the norm on a system of that spec id say.

Try making sure that your paging file is fixed at 2000 min and 2000 max.

If you have separate system and stirage partitions then make sure you have lots of space on the system drive for temp files and paging.

Fastest load is when you have 1.5 GB or more of system RAM as Ryzom will use about 850 MB.

Try disabling antivirus while playing.

Make sure the game UDP ports are opened/triggered as per the Networking FAQ.

Yeah my page file is like double my mem so 2048 and nope there is no activity on my hdd, thanx for replies

Are you using beta drivers or non standard ones for your video card ? I've had problems with loading using ' tweaked' drivers. It took a very long time before ryzom booted, it was having trouble with the drivers for some reason.
