Any interest in episodic semi-comedic/not so serious R2 scenarios?

Greetings fellow gamers!

I'm relatively new to Ryzom but joined up mainly for the new Ryzom ring features and the killer community here. I've currently been writing a series of scenarios and plan on launching the first in the series in about 2 weeks. It will have a MUCH less serious tone to it than most of the current content available in Ryzom.

The scenarios will center around 2 Role-play characters that I have started named "Beefy" and "The Bard".

The Bard: Nimble male Fyros with a penchant for wordplay and song. After two unsuccessful album releases, The Bard had almost given up on his craft. The “Powers That Be” on the other hand, seemed to have more in store for The Bard. One fortuitous day he came across a young Zorai by the name of Beefy as he was attempting to heal a half eaten sandwich. “Samwich …..GWWAAAaaaar!!“ Beefy cried as he repeatedly tried to resurrect the poor sandwich with little success. While the other bystanders thought that they were looking at a Zorai that had been dropped on his head one too many times as a young Zorling, The Bard saw something else; a glorious muse that would inspire him to write what would be quite possibly the greatest hits of our time. It was on that fatefully frightful day that The Bard had finally found his inspiration. The Bard hurried home where he locked himself away in his room at the local inn and didn't emerge until he had finished his first successful musical hit to date. The "Bologna Ballet" went on to sell over an estimated 37 copies (5 of which were to his mother, but who’s counting?) and the pair have been inseparable since.

Beefy: Beefy is a rather large male Zorai trained in the fine healing arts (fine being up in the air in Beefy's case some would say). Beefy is in a constant state of struggle within himself, "Beefy heal? Or beefy SMASH?!?!" Some know him as simple-minded, others as misguided, while I just like to refer to him as just plain "Beefy". What he lacks in brains he more than makes up for with enthusiasm and his undying "Love for SMASH!!".


The scenarios will be divided into chapters and each chapter will then be divided into several interrelated parts that are similarly based on that chapters theme.

Chapter 1 will focus on the miss-adventures of the dysfunctional duo and their first experiences in Atys. It seems that Beefy in all of his brainy glory has inadvertently opened up a dimensional rift in the Ryzom universe (oops) , and a small area of Atys has been inadvertently taken over by an alien supercomputer known as "Internet". Needless to say both Kami AND Karavan are less than pleased with Beefy and The Bard right now and put it to them to clean up their mess and defeat the enigmatic Internet, or face having their accounts banned and forced from the world of Atys forever. Will Beefy and The Bard be successful in their endeavor, or will Atys forever be overran by the diabolical "Internet" for good. Join us soon in Chapter 1: Beefy &The Bard vs. The Internet!!!! (i think the 4 exclamation points there really help it out...don’t you?)

The scenarios will be fairly story intensive but each will also feature combat situations when it is called for (Beefy does so love to "Smash!!" after all), and as we well know that there are many bloodthirsty Homins out there too. I plan on launching the first episode in about 2 weeks as i am still getting more resources unlocked in the R2 editor at the moment before I post the live version. Just wanted to post this and see if there is any interest in this sort of thing. Hope to hear from you all soon.



p.s. If you see Beefy or The Bard in-game please feel free to drop them a line or mail them. Just remember to please talk slowly and use small words, as Beefy often has trouble following what he calls "fastspeak! GWAAaaaar!!"


p.p.s. When referring to "GWAAaaaar" Beefy is not referring to the band by the similar name.
