game screen compressing

I'm running into a slight problem with Ryzom as you can see in the link

that box in is the ryzom screen if I try to go past the character creator the game does that. Usually right after I press the play button or the editor button the screen wil go black for a second bring up the loading screen and then I get that.

up until that point it runs fine.

Try switching to windowed mode - accessible by the lower left corner of the game launcher or via game configuration.

You may also want to think about removing, rebooting and reinstalling your video drivers. It never hurts and, if you had not done a clean install before, could be the cause of your game problems.
