Re: How can i learn what i get when i pay for the game?
Fair point, the free trial description says only that your subscription allows you access to the mainland.
A subscription also allows your characters to advance beyond the level 21 cap. In much the same way that the starter island, Silan, is a single, small region with little samplse of some of the larger ecosystems found on the mainland, the first 20 levels in each of your skills - fight, magic, craft and forage - also just scratch the surface of an extremely large skill tree. You see the first branching of the skill tree at level 21, in all except forage, there are further branchings at 50, 100 and 150, and each branch can be followed up to level 250.
Anything else you see in the game features and do not come across during the trial or on Silan, is obviously also available upon subscription. Such as Outposts and Faction PvP. It should also be noted that Silan has a few limits too - you cannot learn Range fight, Range weapon crafting, or any skills or upgrades above level 49 from the trainers in the Ranger camp there, although it is possible to advance your levels beyond 50.

Re: How can i learn what i get when i pay for the game?
I'm only a recent subscriber myself but I thought I'd emphasize on the level thing.
In the trial you can only get to 21 in the "base" trees. After 21 you can branch out to more specialized trees. This keeps branching every few levels all the way to 250 where you will end up specializing in a single weapon type (even unarmed). And that's just the fight tree.
Some other nifty minor things the mainland has are mounts, pack mules for personal storage, personal apartments, guild apartments, conquer'able outposts, hair/tattoo designers to change your looks (They have some options that weren't available at creation), and guns (It's a separate skill tree that starts after 21 fight. There are 6 different gun types, ranging from a crossbow-pistol to giant 2 handed mortar launchers).

The Silan harvest trainer does not seem to know any of the harvest rate increase skills either. Those have to wait until you get to the mainland regardless of your pay status.
Re: How can i learn what i get when i pay for the game?
Correct, Some skill options are not available on starter island even if you subscribe and stay there.

I sooo need a pack animal
or a fast source of fiber to use up all the other components. I get told there is no room in my bag often. (Especially since I'm carrying around my armor, caster robes and explorer focus-wear whichever I'm not wearing at the time...and my tools...and my amp or weapon or pick...
It is helping to get to the point where I can harvest higher than some areas, so I tend to get stacks of things that are ql 25, for instance, instead of clumps of ql 17, 19, 20, 21, 24....

Re: How can i learn what i get when i pay for the game?
As you skill up you will find that in the higher levels, multi-quality harvesting is pretty rare. You usually get to full quality about halfway through the source dig, which means now you're just going for quantity (amount). At 130 skill, heck even 60 skill, I rarely get anything less than max quality. You do need speed, rate, and extra time stanzas to accomplish this, and probably some careplans for twitchy sources.

A common "trick" in this situation is to place your harvested mats on the merchant at 9999% markup. No one will pay that much for them and you get 6 days before they expire. You can then retrieve them at a later date when you are ready to craft.gretchen wrote:I sooo need a pack animalor a fast source of fiber to use up all the other components. One warning though, this will make you think you are richer than you actually are as you receive the npc portion of the sale price immediately. You will need this amount to be able to buy the mats back again.
