How long are seasons on Atys?

Anybody know how long seasons last on Atys? Its winter right now and was fall a few days ago. I've only been playing for a week, so I saw the change from fall to winter, but am curious how long it will be until spring.

The previous winter began on the 20th of September.

Thanks for the info. So I guess a year is 16 days real-time. So each season would be 4 days real-time. I'm looking forward to Spring on Sunday!

o_O at least you can tell the seasons.... i've yet to figure out what season it is in the mightie desert lands of the Fyros...

Perhaps a more interesting question than just the appearance changes of the seasons is do they effect some of the creatures, especially the plant based ones, or effect the harvesting of certain resources.

Oooooohhh, it DEFINITELY effects the harvesting of certian resources around Pyre... and since i can't tell what season it is I never know when my *special* source is "in season"... :/

Is there perhaps a text command to display the "local" date and time? Because I agree that it is hard to tell the seasons in the desert. I have not even seen changes in the shooki but I have not been observing them that closely I suppose.

that is one of the things that I've been wondering myself. None of the players seem to know whether or not there is one.... I've yet to ask a GM about it... maybe one of the CS Liasons might see this thread and pipe up on chat box commands to bring up that info?

How long is a day ? How many days per season ?

Originally in the last open beta when you were in the middle of connecting to the server from the character selection screen it would show what season and year it was.

Obviously it was removed before retail ... it has been listed in numerous places and threads asking for it back. Also for Fyros ... you can at least tell when it is fall/winter from the grass being brown.
