Yours for the Taking? [Arispotle] Spelt right now

Post by ffxjosh »

Ok so ive been doing some thinking on the whole Kami v Karavan on Airpostle.

I have one (hopefully) simple question to the Karavan.

Why do you not take control of all of the outposts?

It seems that your forces are far superior and more deciated to 'the cuase' than in comparasion to the Kami.

The Kami havent been able to take one of your outposts for a while, and you have had more sucessfull victories than the Kami.

so again, why not finish what you have started and take all of the outposts? Or is the greater purpose of Jena not for the fragile minds of the Kami? ;)

Perhaps they have all the OPs they want? Maybe they aren't greedy? Who knows except the Karavan allied guilds? I'd be interested to hear their take on it but I dread to see where this thread will go.

Yet another PvP flamefest perhaps? I do hope not.

How about a reasoned discussion with any propoganda? Or claim of propoganda?

Well Im *Hoping* that the usual suspects will stick out of this thread. Its a simple enough question. I just feel like the OP situation has ground to a serious halt. so wondering why. I know about the Kami side of things, so was interested in the Kara..

I did this too my last 1-2 weeks before my sub ran out. Try to blow a little air onto the embers. heh heh. Take care bud. Gonna miss ya.

To answer your question. They should finish what they started. My make Nevrax really sit down and think about how botched OP's really are. Nevrax's simplistic approach to Spires (if they ever do come out as they were discussed) will pretty much rehash this whole thread (just replace OP with Spires in this Madlibs thread). I should probably Bookmark it just for future reference when Nevrax releases another 25-50% feature that pretty much destroys the landscape of the game.

Toodles,

Wow, that gets the prize for the "flaming post of the day" :D

Some answers, to throw some fuel in:

Because Karavan may not be as greedy as your flaming post suggests?

Because even if the Karavan "decided" to (not going into the details on how "Kara" can decide something) we may not all agree or even not manage too?

Because the Karavan may have enough outposts for those who care?

Because it is not that easy as you seem to imply?

Because we may not be as outnumbering and as outperforming as you seem to imply?

Because to suceed in taking an outpost takes way more effort in manpower than defending it?

Because for some, it's more about the fun in mass battles than the control itself?

Because despite all the propaganda and hidden FUD, we may not be in for total utter and final world domination?

Because, believe it or not, some members ot the alliance may be worried of the consequences or care about a fragile balance?

Because we don't want the whole Kami faction "dropping it"?

To avoid constant whinging and moaning and uproaring in game, in forums and in person?

note: just throwing in some random thoughts, and I speak for myself only.

Since we are asking pretty much weird (to avoid other relevant and more appropriate adjectives) questions... why don't you Kami supporting players switch sides, we all go Karavan and enjoy a live of peace, love, sharing and harmony? If we all went Karavan, then OPs would be truly GvG, or AvA, not FvF. Or, more in line with your suggestion... why don't you Kami hand over the Outpost to Kara guilds, and as you state, we can "finish" earlier.

Dang it you beat to it Ani (was hoping to post this before you got around to posting on this thread as I thought you might). Was just about to ask you to make an adendem (sp?) to your FPvFP post to include forum griefing and bazaar forums thread hijackers would be thread gankers.

Well I"m the "new guy" and I am on the karavan side or headed there anyhow and although this is just an educated guess or possibly hope on my part, but total domination in a game usually leads to people on the side that has absolutely no resources and always getting beaten either leave the game or switch servers leaving the winners with absolutely nothing to do.

Unfortunately pvp is great, but for the health of a game you need to know when to give it a rest. Having played games where guilds/factions/sides didn't know when to give it a rest and claimed "total domination" I can see that is in fact a game stopper for both sides if you overdo it. Usually what happens is the winning side starts to complain to the loosing side that they never try to take anything away from them blah blah blah. Its also usually a numbers thing so if the winning side is powerful enough to own everything its not usually a good thing its usually something that brings pvp and competition to a grinding halt.

just food for thought and hoping history doesn't repeat itself in this game as sometimes more is not necessarily better.

Also its ARIpostle...

No, it's Arispotle. :)

Maybe the guilds without outposts don't actually want one, and those with don't want another?
