Can this get fixed?

A simular problem was posted not long ago, but I think mine is worse.

The problem is is that not only does my cursor not show up but, my keyboard also locks up, I have to use task manager to close the program.

this happens probably every other time I load the game.

also, Every time I reboot my pc, I turn my pc off when I am at work and when not at home, it goes to the patch screen and checks though the files, then when it get to the next to the last file, forgot the number, like 235 or 335, somthing like that, it says there is a checksum problem in a packed file, and then it says click to reboot ryzom, then its a 50/50 chance it will lock up when the game screen comes on, I can not control it with either mouse or keyboard. but the game is working sending and recieving data, and I can see others playing.

I have downloaded the newest download of the client, I have reinstalled windows, updated it fully, and all my drivers are fully updated. and this still happens.

My hardware

2.6 gig pent.4
sound blaster audigy 2 newest drivers installed by auto update from creative
nvidia gforce 4 newest drivers for xp from nvidia's website
1 gig of ram

I know its not the newest of systems, but it has played ryzom great untill the last patch, well, the ring patch, Is there anything i can do to try to fix this?

I am getting tired of waiting for 3-5 minutes for the game to load and then lock up, and have to close it down and then reload it only to hope that it doesnt do it again, I lose all interest in playing it when it locks up and I just do something else till I feel like trying again. if I can't get it fixed ill just leave and comeback, sometime when its fixed, or i can get a new pc, that it will work on.

So any help would be appeciated, I would like to continue playing.

This is the first thread I recall concerning the mouse/keyboard issues. It might have some helpful hints for you.
Else, consider logging into Klients (sticky in this forum).
Since you use the latest nVidea drivers, make sure to set your client to using Direct3D to avoid issues.

Maybe you should try running a Data check at the log in screen.

Also try deleting your upack (dont forget to copy it sumwhere first) folder and then running Ryzom. Maybe some of the data got corrupted from the last time you downloaded (patched) - Firewall/AV? Although im not a total expert. i have had a similir issue and the above measures stop it from happening.
