Shard history, lore, timeline

Our shard's history, the lore and the way we react to it are probably in one way or another the most decissive factors in our character's 'character' development, next to the original idea we had for them, but also determines the general 'feel' of our shard/server compared to another, it's 'knowledge' and it's own diverging story (to an extent at least). Bits and pieces can be retraced due to the webpages' lore, timeline, the Saga forum and the Atys Chronicles webpage.

But it seems to me like a lot is missing or severly fragmented, both ingame and here on the webpage, which could be seen as a collective memory. The races' history still stops at 2525; we have the descriptions of the Higher Powers but nothing on lesser powers/dangers who have either always been here or (re)surfaced over the past 10 Jenaït years, no history on some of those important happenings; and the timeline is pretty much ok to give a really quick glance but lacks depth and a lot of information on what actually did happen, or nothing at all in some cases; and the Atys Chronicles webpage is still really cumbersome without a search function.

Ultimatly I would really like to be able to access a full account of what actually did happen these last 10 years and before, and gather some more obscure information if must, with the use of Rites, Ambercubes and -libraries or something different altogheter, ingame.. But I realise this won't probably be something Nevrax could pull off easily, considering the amount of coding needed for such things and it would mean they'd eventually have to divide their attention from new or missing 'content' and this. Hence my suggestion is to somewhat reorganise and regularly update the lore sections for the different shards/servers/communities on the webpages so it would still be accessible for the time being. (Without changing the actual lore again!)

There is always new players looking to flesh out their character's background or knowledge, old-timers who have forgotten, people who missed events, those who have come back after a long break from the game, people bored at work and looking for a read, players wanting to recount history without all the blanks, Ring users who could use some more indepth background, gatherers of knowledge, ...


Anyone else having the same or another opinion?

DISCLAIMER: I do not dismiss the fact there's other aspects and events ingame that would shape characters' 'character', like player events, official events with little to no real impact on the grand storyline and player interactions such as alliances, friendship or conflict. But I deem them to be a lot harder to implement; not less important.
