The Kami have sent word that an ancient prophesy is soon to come true. That a homin or group of homins shall appear at one of their camps. When this happens the great Ma-Duk shall appear and reveal a secret that has long been guarded by the Kami. A secret that could shake the very foundation of what Homins all over Atys believe. You think know everything about why the Kitin War started? You think the Kitin serve no purpose? Nothing is what it seems and nothing will be the same again.
"Homins think they know truth" said the Kami. "They know truth now. They not know truth past. Karavan lie. Karavan play tricks on Homin. Now time Homin learn truth."

When do you usually play, Raynes? I'm interesting in seeing what you've whipped up.
Maika the infinite inquisitor - Defender of Atys, hominkind and the Kami.
"Remember, your destiny is linked to the life of Atys, homin, and together we must cherish it and keep it from danger."

US Pacific time 9-1am during the week. If the weekend works better, give me some times that work for you and I can try to get online to let you try it.ackir wrote:When do you usually play, Raynes? I'm interesting in seeing what you've whipped up.

I have revamped the scenario to be more challenging, include more puzzles. It now contains high level mob but can be finished by any level if done right.
Contact me in game if you want to try it.

Re: The Kitin Secret - Nothing is what it seems
Artifex is Karavan and I found it quite enjoyable. The puzzles were challenging without being too difficult, except for the one that trapped Artifex in the scenery (which has been fixed). I was actually my own worst enemy, going after a couple of red herrings.
As far as the lore goes, being a Tryker, I just figure the Kami are a bit mad so I have some skepticism about anything I learn from them. For all I know, everything he saw was faked by Kami magic. Of course from the Kami perspective Artifex may have just been so deceived by the evil Karavan that he could not recognize the truth when he saw it.
All in all, a good game. I would recommend it to anyone, especially low level characters. While I was killed a couple of times, once was just because I was too slow when I tried to use Invulnerability and once was due to a bug that caused a kitin to move at lightning speed. If you are more careful than I was, a brand new character should have no more trouble than I did. Most of the monsters could have killed me easily, but thinking a bit and having patience allows you to avoid personal combat entirely.
Try it.

Zandryok is going Kami and is very interested in this. [also, I'm starting a Kami role-playing guild on Cho using Ring for ceremonies and such, maybe I'll get some inspiration ]
