What's your primary melee weapon?

If you are a melee, what is your preferred weapon of choice?

I use a long sword most of the time. I would have used a sword and dagger but I really don't like the summersault attack that it uses alot and the long sword was my next favorite looking weapon (the zorai one looks great). Although using a shield and sword is tempting too.

When I solo, I use either a sword/shield combo or a 2h sword depending on the circumstances. When I am playing the part of "main tank" I prefer to use a sword/shield combo, and while playing the role of a backup tank, I prefer to use either 2h sword or duel wield sword/dagger combo. I also like to work my CC with a dual dagger deal.

I've always been happiest sticking things with sharp stuff.

Lance (dont like the name since it sounds like horseman’s spear what is much bigger. I would prefer shortspear instead)

I like 1h weapons and lance is very effective in pvp also

Well its stick waving weapons so I cant put my rifle down, I cant turn it round and hit things with it, I Like using my fists for fun when not shootin but thats not there either.

Feels discriminated against

The long axe of course! It may not hit the fastest, however I have won way more battles than I've lost and it hits more than 2 times harder than the sword

Voted long axe since its what I got at highest level, but I have found pikes good fun (more flexible than axes IMHO, and better animations), plus I _craft_ long maces so I like them too!

I'm one of the few that specifically uses pike ahead of other things. Like Cry I'm kind of the odd man out.

I had to learn to craft them myself jsut so I could get them regularly as few people craft them too.
