What does CATs stand for and what are they?
How does one get from the newb island to mainland (specifics).
On the Newb island even if you... lets say... pay for a subscription do the limits still apply there (stanzas, level, mobs, packmules etc..) as if i had a trial account?
Once you get to the mainland is that where you choose your side? Is it something that pops up and asks you or do you need to talk to someone to choose what side your on (Karavan etc) and please give specifics...
Macros....is there a site i can go to that lists macros i can use in-game? I'm not very good at making them so i just like to copy and paste things
Well for now i think that covers all my dumb questions
Might have more later though .. lol
Q's that i hope aren't too dumb :)
Re: Q's that i hope aren't too dumb :)
Welcome
They are drugs. They come in different sizes (50,100,150,200 & 250) and basically double the XP gained for a successful action in any skilltree when applied before and within the skillrange of their size.(Yes, I'm biased there )
Edit: correction... the forum's guide I thought of was from Leanon. If you speak German, here it is... (linked images don't work anymore...)

As a Tryker or Matis you go to the Karavan, as a Zoraï or Fyros you go to the Kami to get you teleported. You might as well take the "mission" "Departure for *cough* forgot, something" from Chiang to get directions. You should have a paid subscription beforehand.mgfla2 wrote:How does one get from the newb island to mainland (specifics).
Yep. One for all.mgfla2 wrote:On the Newb island even if you... lets say... pay for a subscription do the limits still apply there (stanzas, level, mobs, packmules etc..) as if i had a trial account?
On the mainland, you have to visit a certain representative of the faction you wish to join - to each land their own, thus no directions. But you have to have a fame of +30 with the faction you wish to join prior to being able to do so, that leaves you with enough time to find that onemgfla2 wrote:Once you get to the mainland is that where you choose your side? Possibly some fan- or guildsites have a guide, but I can't think of any rightaway, Melinoe's propably... There was one in these forums from short after release - the macroing system hasn't changed since, only the thread disappeared from standard view. Consider doing a search.mgfla2 wrote:Macros....is there a site i can go to that lists macros i can use in-game? I'm not very good at making them so i just like to copy and paste things

Re: Q's that i hope aren't too dumb :)
Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but do you have to play pvp to get the level 30 fame? I'm not familiar with the process, but I'm learning.
Re: Q's that i hope aren't too dumb :)
No. Fame comes from doing missions and none of the missions I'm aware of require any PvP. Visit your local City Welcomer, Karavan/Kami ambassador, etc. to get missions.livvy wrote:Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but do you have to play pvp to get the level 30 fame? Re: Q's that i hope aren't too dumb :)
I am so relieved! And I will make sure to do those. I need prerequesite missions first, but I will get there!
Re: Q's that i hope aren't too dumb :)
No fame gain by PvP (it'd be real empty around here, if that were the case).
You gain fame by doing missions in the mainland.
There are three "types" of fame: factional, civilizational and tribal. While gaining factional fame will always effect the opposing faction's fame oppositely, civ's and tribal's fame movements or interactions in fame movements depend on the mission giver. Sounds complicated at first, but that's just a matter of having experienced that once or twice.
You can however lose fame by killing tribe members. You'll find out, maybe
The "almost forgot" edit: there are quite a few missions out there that require you to kill NPC bandits however, no PvP but Homins nonetheless - well, somehow... *g*
And posted tooo slow...baaah.
