Mini-Patch Today 10/07/04

Post by cerest »

There will be a mini-patch today to address some of the lag issues at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Servers shouldn't be down too long.

The lag that I have personally seen has been limited to a very VERY brief period of time after midnight Central time zone. It stutters, halts and then after less than ten minutes (last night) it is gone. (thinking back on it, it may have been much MUCH less than ten minutes, but I wasn't watching the clock. It could have been as little as four minutes.)

I would say it is more of a umm Lag Storm, than a lag monster that sits on your chest. I have seen worse lag in the BIG games. I would LOVE to see a fix, but I am not lagging to death and can...the vast majority of my time, enjoy my play.

I am VERY encouraged to see a fix applied with such SERIOUS speed. Earth and Beyond lied, denied and stalled for six MONTHS. You addressed this in less than six weeks, and applied a patch in less than a MONTH. Guys...this is VERY telling of the attitude and concern of the developers of this game.

If EVERY issue is addressed in such a seriously timely manner...this game will CRUSH anything that gets in its way...including the competition.

Finally a game I can be PROUD to say I betaed.

Hey, I'm proud to have beta'd "The Settlers <mumble>"
And Ryzom, of course.

Lag has been approved! xD I'm very sorry, especially if English isn't your first language, but that is too entertaining and error to pass over. (If you aren't sure, I think the word you wanted was 'improved'. That's on the assumption English isn't your first langauge.)
