why is it taking hours/days to patch?!

i just got this game today, and i installed it and created a free trial account. then it started loading the patches, and that took a few minutes. then it started to install the patches or something again! and ive had it on for about 20 minutes and its only installed 20Mb out of the 800Mb+ so far!

can i speed this up in any way? as its not letting me play the game unless the patches are installed.

The net in the UK seems to be a bit under the weather today. Especially the ISP that is linked to the patching server. Unfortunately this is causing slowdowns and packet loss so patching is taking a lot longer than normal. We will be looking into the situation.
