Yubos seem to stay out of another's combat - are there any others.
I'm around 40 melee - been killing sprightly yubos.

Then kill something else. Go into a horde of roaming/springhtly mektoubs/cprynies/messabs and attack one of them. Your prayers will be fulfilled 
Yubos, being the very weakest mob in the game, have no social aggro, no matter which lvl. Lvl 10-20 mobs of the other mob types usually don't have it, too. But Mobs of higher lvl HAVE it.

Best exampla are kipee: In the Fyros newbie zone one watches while you slaugther the other but around Pyr they social aggro immediately.
