Well question is simple.
Is it any useful building a toon with focus on either magic or non mageic
meaning just skilling magic up to buy some skills you need for fight?
so is that useful?
or you actually get enough skill to do both anyway ?
same question applies for digging and crafting, but the combat thing is the more important one to me.
Can one char be good at everything or do you need one specialized in one field
so a crafter
a digger
a healer
a offensive mage
etc
thanks for any advice
focused skilling?
Re: focused skilling?
one can do everything with no penalty.
it's good to learn a melee skill for the hp, and a magic skill for the resists. You'd probably want to try and spend sp from the tree you earnt it at least in the beginning. if you run low then multiskilling in the same tree is a good way to get more, eg melee splits at lv21/51/etc so you can do some 1h and 2h, or ranged or whatever to help you out.
dont worry too much though as you will have plenty unless you are super specialised
