Quick question: Numbers of active players?

How many active players are there (On the International English community)?
If there is no exact number, is it around 1000? 5000? 15000 ? 50k? 150k? any estimates?

Just asking because I wouldn't want to start playing a game that has a very small population.
How many people are online in peak times for someone who lives in the EST or PST timezones

'small' is a subjective word.

When u start with the free trial you will be on the most populated part of Atys. RoS (newbie isle) will have lots of players. Because this part of the game is free.

The amount of people you can team with (on the mainland) does depend alot on what level u are when u leave the starter isle. If you are level 1, you will find alot less people to team with than if you were level 50.


Also time Zone might be an issue. i know that (generally speaking) there are less people who play Asian/Austrailian times. If you are based in Europe. that is where the majority of players are.

I think that there are plenty of people to level with in this game. plenty of people to find and share a great game with, but you will have to make the effort that is required in all MMORPG's.

Thanks for the replies. But.. any actual numbers? "a lot" can mean 500 players or 50,000 players..
Also, I live in Canada (Au/Eu aren't my timezones....)

my estimate would be totaly around 1.5-2k active subscribers and about 1-2k trial accounts

newbie land is quite small compared to mainland so it gets some over crowding, expect much less concentrations when you get to mainland since different races start in different lands.

Roughly around 100-200 ish people in the newbie town at one time 2-5 people in small towns in mainland and 20-30 people in major cities.

Large concentrations of people, 100 to 200, occur during events and the more fiercely contested Outpost battles. Maybe 500 or 600 people turn up for Kitin infestations. Not had one of those since the Ruins of Silan opened up so I dread to think how my computer will fare at the next one

I would say more like 1500 on this server and growing - although less than 400 online at once. If you count people that log in only occasionally - and there are alot of those! then Aristople surely has well over 1000 residents. I can give you a list of 800 (but some are alts and some have left since I began counting). I know that I can easily add hundreds that I have missed. Here are the A's (58 of them)

i would guess at around a thousand..
i suppose a good way of looking at it would be to look at bigger guilds guild lists and work out the percentage of still active players on the list... or maybe even poll the guilds to find out fairly active numbers.
However im sure that there are a few guilds that would not want to disclose this information...

i found a dump file once in my
directory that contained -among many other stuff- many, many usernames... about 1176 i think. That was pre Silan.
