Ryzom Ring?

Hey all glad to be back to this community and the game.
I logged on had some issues with my graphics drivers, a Guide was at the starter town as usual and i got helped, and had a little fun chatter, thats what i love with this game, the people in charge actually show them selves in game, and dont hide behind the donut shop...

I played MMO's for a long time, and just recently left WoW, yes a was a Blizzfanboi as many call it, and my god how i regret to buy the game. The game is fun and simple, you get to lvl 60 and SLAM sold your soul to the devil, and bound to endless 2 year grinding for armors, when you get them, lack of content and youre done for. Now expansion that makes the game more a Diablo MMO with socket items.

Anyways now im back to my ooll Favorite SoR, i missed this unique pearl.
I saw the announcement about Ryzom Ring, but there is one major thing that really makes me worry, would it say that Navrax is making this expansion and will no longer develop, add content and like you know they will be less active in SoR? or is it just me that is paranoid that such a precious and awsome game will be left in the dark or pushed away down the cliffs untill unknown oblivion.

The idea of it though... you guys at Navrax just made it to my top fav. Dev's, i was thinking that perhaps someday that will become available, because the companies out there have no idea how much potential some gamers have... so its awsome, thumbs up x 10. There is one thing though the way i understand it is:

I will make some quests, my own map, and it gets uploaded, and you can get invited, almost like playing neverwinter nights and join a server with own self made maps and quests and npc's? Or is it like people make stuff and the devs then perhaps implemented it into SoR?

Anyways i hope that Ryzom Rings, wont out SoR in the shadow, and that devs will stop making stuff, updates, more content, items, more skills or whatever to SoR

also, spires are scheduled after Ring and i (probably others too would be very dissapointed if they dont implement them.

I hope the Ring wont end the progress of the game but even make it easier to make official content as well. And from what I understand, the players can make their own scenarios and invite others to play, but also the best scenarios will be permanently added to the server.

R² is a development tool for both, Players and Devs. Only I suspect, that the Devs will keep some of the "better" implementations to themselves for a time to add new "real" contend, it would only be logical, wouldn´t it.
Nevrax has in serveral Interviews over the last weeks announced that they do not intend to stop developing SoR.
In fact they intend to go even further with it, once R² is done and the Spires are "out of the way" so to say.
People seem to have a rather short memory for "good things" it always seems to me. Everybody is worried about the spires (or at least the ultra-conversative Non-PvP Crowd is ), that they will be the last straw to break the camels back and blahblahblah. But what those people keep ignoring is the fact, that with R² coming before the spires, (and even if it comes after them) we may just be able to circumvent them with our own Creations. AND that after the Spires Nevrax said for more times than I care to count now, they will bring new NON-PvP Contend.
With the Help of R².
That´s what they build it for on long run. To help them (and us) make contend. And to allow easyer acces to development features.

I´m pretty excited about R², in fact I´m almost out of my mind with anticipation I can´t wait to get my hands on it and to see what becomes of it in the future.
I share Nevrax Vision of it being a revolutionary tool in MMORPGs.
It won´t be perfect in its first manifestation, as it is with every software on the planet earth (Windows anyone?), but it will be the first "tolling of the bell" to bring on a new Age of MMORPGing.

Acridiel, thanks alot that cleaned the dark thoughts alot.

I tried Ryzom long time ago, when it first came out, and loved more than anything. Now i left WoW behind me with nothing but bad memories and loss of cash.

I remember when i tried Ryzom first time, i was astuned, and so happy, especially the crafting part is more than unique. Its... i just love it.

Thats why im back and also the fact devs and GM's are o in the game, and help is everywhere and community is awsome.

Thats why i was affraid that when Ryzom Rings will come available then the game would die, and thats why i wanted to know, because otherwise it would be a waste of cash And too sad since its a game that is revolutionary, too bad more people cant see that.
