RSS News Feed

I've been dabbling recently with a free News Reader program , and was pleased to see that Ryzom has such an RSS Feed.

I successfully subscribed to the feed from the front page of the site, BUT....
All the news stories are in French.
Is there an English feed available, pls?

go to http://www.ryzom.com/news , make sure you have the english site by clicking the greyed out english flag below the printer icon, then load the rss feed via the blue icon

Thanx for the assist, but it still doesn't work correctly. I subscribe to the feed from the English page, but I get French in my News inbox

Its from " My Neighbour Totoro " probably my favourite film of all time, which is surprising cos I mainly watch sci-fi and action films.

check the url of the stream, perhaps it loads from .fr?

also, just for giggles, try downloading opera.com and see what the internal rss viewer of that says, since that's what works for me. =)

I'm having the same problem as the original poster. Here's the link I'm using: http://www.ryzom.com/news/feed.rdf

No .fr in that url at all. There's also an rss link on the forums, but it appears to be for the entire forum system and not for a specific forum. If you're going to have rss feeds, please make them more useful.

for that link (and probably whole ryzom web), make sure you have English as accepted languages in your browser settings.
for firefox, tools/options/advanced/edit languages, add "English[en]" (and make it first in list to be safe).

if you tack on ?set_language=en to the url, it comes through as english (did for me anyway)

Maybe if I were reading it in Firefox, that would work. In fact, I just tried to read it in Firefox, and it works without requiring any settings changes. But my RSS reader doesn't have the setting you mention.

This link seems be for the entire forum system: http://www.ryzom.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS, which is lovely except that it also pulls all of the french and german forums and I'm not smart enough to read those forums. And yes, I tried "&set_language=en" on the end of the url, but it didn't help.

"&forumids=8" should fetch only for General subforum for english.
7 as whole english forum, didnt work ;-(
edit: (now that i downloaded rss reader , "&forumids=8,9,58" or so, seems to work too.

I had the same problem as I integrated the feed with netvibes.com.
