Error Extracting

Not sure if this has been posted, but got the following pop-up error

"Some installation files are corrupt. Please download again"

The following appeared in the WinRar Window

Extracting Ryzom6.ico
Extracting Ryzom.msi
Extracting setup.exe
Extracting autorun.inf
Extracting Data1.cab
Extracting Data11.cab
CRC failed in Data11.cab
Unexpected end of archive

This happened on 2 seperate Win XP machines, likely I realzed that an old client was on one of the machines so was able to use the patcher to update the current version......not so lucky on my "Main" Machine though.

Any thoughts?

You can copy the working version of Ryzom over to the other machine and just drop it into place. You do not have to go through the full install process as Ryzom is self-contained.


I would suggest trying to download using the Bit Torrent version as opposed to the direct file download. This method is a lot more robust and does not suffer from corruption very much.

well got the same problem but figured out whats going wrong i'd say
the download u get from the ftp atm is just 590 Mb !! instead of 1.5gb
if u like i got these 590 mb u at least dont need to load the complead 1.5gb with bittorrent
just override the download with bittorent and the existing 590mb will be used

Hello. Something is broken and needs fixing! ^^ (if it is not fixed already).

Would like to confirm that this link points to a corrupt installer file that is only 500ish MB:

Currently I didn't find any way at all to download the game client from ryzom.com... New players will certainly be set back if they cannot find a working link to the client.

Ultimately I went to look elsewhere (http://www.mininova.org/tor/290372).

I'm having the exact same problem, i checked everything, there's nothing wrong on my end, it's in the file, please fix this so i can try the game, i've heard great things about it, but i can even get the client installed=(. there's files missing, please put them in.

Thanks Tekku for posting the mininova link. Judging from the file size it appears like it might be the correct size, 1.53 gigs.

I investigated the issue, it appears there was a corrupted file and another missing (the .torrent file) on one of the mirrors, which yesterday's change made apparent; it should now be fixed, the downloaded file should be of the right size again. I've also added a MD5 checksum link on the page, to let you make sure the file you downloaded is the proper one and hasn't been corrupted. Thanks for reporting this issue !

I am just about to give up on this game! Have downloaded the installer a dozen or more times and stil i cant install the game.

I have downloaded the installer from just about every source i can find, no firewalls, no virus checkers.
Have used download managers (tried more than one, more than once)
Have used different Torrent clients again more than once.

If I see this message " CRC failed in Data11.cab " one more time I will not be responsible for my actions!!!! I mean come on guys even Anarchy can get a download to work!!

Why cant data11.cab be available for seperate download!! ffs help me here, am running out of hair.

Am gonna try this download ONE more time after that I give up and I will never be born on Atys
