Newb Guild question

OK, so I've been looking around and I'm just looking for verification of what I've surmised... are guilds restricted to a single race? So, if I play a Tyker, I can only join a guild filled with other Tykers?

Nope.

Guilds do have faction/citizenship limitations though. But a character of any race can become a citizen of any race, i.e., a Fyros can become a Tryker citizen.

A Matis guild, for example, can only have members with Matis or neutral citizenship. A citizenship-neutral guild can only have members who are neutral in citizenship.

By default, all characters are neutral in citizenship/race and faction allegiance.

Nope, not at all! Samsara has all races in it. Faction and Citizenship allegiance has more to do with Guild membership from a game mechanic perspective (if the Guild is Neutral Faction, neutral Race, only neutral/neutral players can join; if the guild is neutral Faction, Fyros Citizenship, only neutral/neutral or neutral/fyros players can join; etc.).

Role Playing (from none at all to high/heavy 100% RP) has a lot to do with what guild you may want to join, and whether or not that guild will have you.

Most guilds accept any race, but there are some restrict it.
Pegasus Foundation, for instance, was created in Matis, but has a high percentage of Trykers in it too. Plus we have some from Fyros and Zorai. (Though fame because a little more difficult then as we are Karavan aligned)

I recommend talking to ppl from the guilds you might be interested in. Find one that fits your personality. We are all individuals and therefore will have different interests.

Also, feel free to ask questions of whoever you are talking to. LOL I really like it when a newbie asks intelligent questions. Makes me more likely to ask them to the guild.
