English Shard Down???

Ok .. this need some attention .. why can't I log onto the english shard?

error #8????? -- I've waited all week to try out this game.. played almost all weekend ( with video problems that are specific to this game --- looking past that ) --- and now this???

Any idea on the "when" the server will be back up?
