Hey all, I noticed that the NPC vendors in these Tryker towns were empty and didn't offer any materials. Is there a reason for this? If not, is it being addressed soon?
Thanks!

Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
Re: Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
Stellus, I got the feeling that Trykers were the gimped red headed stepchild of Ryzom. Everything about the land, the NPCs, the resources all seem like a last minute thought. We have empty NPCs with no inventory, NPCs with no quests, islands with invisible walls in the water, Resources that are basically only available in 3 places, borderlands that are too hard to pass through, and even harder to harvest in and bugged corsairs that will attack you for attacking certain mobs but ruin your factions with Tryker.
I was in Matis last night, not only are the lands much more integrated, it was much easier to do alot of other things as well. Going to another town doesn't involve swimming for miles and miles as their cities aren't placed at opposite corners of the map. Their NPCs have stock and quests. Everything seems much more refined there. The only advantage we Trykers seem to have is that the Death Clopper is bright yellow and you can see him coming just before he squashes you.

Is it all vendors or just certain ones? Maybe the stuff doesn't show up until you have a certain fame level? Just a thought.
Re: Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
I found the q50 vendors, they south of the trainer platform. q50 armor isn't that under the foraged stuff. Ammo is insane to an extreme, but 1/3rd the price if you make it yourself.raynes wrote:Is it all vendors or just certain ones? Maybe the stuff doesn't show up until you have a certain fame level? They definately need to have improved damage work for ranged i think.
Re: Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
This is correct. I think .. I know some vendors will say that they dont have anything to offer you rightnow ... or something to that effect. This would suggest that it is based on fame just like missions. Once you get x amount of fame, you will see items for sale.raynes wrote:Is it all vendors or just certain ones? Re: Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
I have a pretty high fame count. Fame may not have anything to do with it.
Re: Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
i seem to recall the vendors having stock int the outlying towns like windermeer or avendale up until the first little server update. so i think its a product of that but we wont know for sure until se get an official answer.stellus wrote:I have a pretty high fame count. i have no problem with this as its doesn't bar you completly and it will be fixed soon enough. the thing i am having a hard time with is the q50 mats i harvest for ammo crafting amount to ammo with little to no damage for some reason. so, instead i sell my mats and buy NPC mats for crafting ammo. not the best but it works.
Re: Windermeer, Avendale, Crystalbelle Vendors?
That's odd. I also craft ammo, but I haven't noticed any problems with DMG. I'll pay more attention next time and see if I catch what you're saying.
