Rollback???? Not acceptable.

Post by jdexter1 »

Okay, why was there a rollback and why are there no messages about it?

I find it unacceptable that I lost my entire morning's worth of hunting and crafting and there isn't a single official word about it.

Cerest, how do I get the exp back so my levels are all restored. I'm pissed about losing the new armor I just made, but I can live with that. I cannot excuse losing the levels though.

Let us know how the CSR will handle the rollback chars.

I have screenshots of the debacle.

That is not an excuse for rollback. Moreover, it makes no difference between using bugs or not - what's the difference if all got punished lol?
On the other hand duping and other bugs are not taken out of the air by some very bad players. If you think about it - it is game developers who made them, right?

Which means no excude at all for a rollback - players pay for developers mistakes, that simple.

If a rollback is the only way to prevent hyperinflation from kicking in them I'm all for it.

I would suggest finding the dupers and kicking them in the nuts.

Any company that doesn't have a plan of action for handling exploits is a poorly prepared company. MMORPGs are not new. There should have been a way to track things prior to launch. This has been an issue in every MMORPG. You don't make the whole community pay for your poor planning.

How exactly do you plan to track something you had no idea could occur?

Quit whining about it and accept it. I would rather see a rollback than see an exploit remain in game. (Let's not turn SoR into another Asheron's Call, or other MMOs I could name.)

Sometimes it becomes necessary for the many to be "punished" due to the actions of a few.

A couple of hours is nothing to whine about. You can lose that on an unsaved non-MMO, server crash, etc.

Duping exploits give people an unfair advantage and should be rolled back.

Banning exploiters is much more easier and smoother way...
