Been seeing many people writing "icc and ic" and just wondering what that means

People who role play like to make sure everyone is on the same page rather than people thinking they actually beilve what they are preaching
OOC=out of character. so people thinking their mind in real life
IC= in character. People explaining the situation through the eyes of their homin
