Getting ganked by non agros.. HELP

My brother and i just stepped up our zori hunting to hard kippies (oo00ooo) this is cool because they are non agro and give LOTS of xp and seeing as he is a melee and im a def mage its good stuff. but WTF he taunts one and starts in on it and 15 secs later its friends jump him, being a good support mage i start healing his now very perferated butt. However as SOON as i start to heal him all the origanal monsters friends who where NOT invited jump my @$$ and eat me REAL fast. this should not happen if he taunts the orignal monster, no?

Kipee are aggro and have been since release IIRC.

Things may not aggro on the taunt. But if you are fighting something, and something else of the same family (aka kipee) comes near and sees you beating on its bro, he won't take it very kindly. Monsters are social after starting lands. I know I wouldn't take kindly to someone takin' a swing at my mom.

The kips aren't aggro, but they will help their friends, make sure your buddy pulls the one away from any other kips.

Errr, Kipee are group aggro, in that you attack one, they all come down on you. Group, hive mentallity I suppose. Other than that, they're nice, peaceful, fun, loving playmates. Thing about this game though, it's not like any other when it comes to critters. Don't know what to tell you. Try to find an isolated one and pounce him. Also, when you taunt him, you might have to lure him away from the group (as he pounds you) to get him out of the others' detection range.

Beyond that, beats me.

He would have to taunt every single one of those mobs that is attacking him to keep all of them on himself. Usually a good circle attack will keep their attention on him. Taunt is a single target skill, it will only get the attention of the one he taunted.

If I'm not mistaken, yubo are the only non-aggro non-social critters in the game (ignoring the suckling/weanling critters).

He would have to taunt every single one of those mobs that is attacking him to keep all of them on himself. Usually a good circle attack will keep their attention on him. Taunt is a single target skill, it will only get the attention of the one he taunted.

Heh any amount of crittes past 2-3 becomes impossible to keep all their attention off a healer in a duo situation. The critters are smart. They will take turns going to the healer as you taunt them off them, probably a built in feature of their AI to keep down on melee AE farming. Otherwise I'd be out farming en masse on q40-50 mobs for an easy way of making the phat daps.

ok, so what yer saying is there is nothing i can do if he gets mobbed, because no matter what as soon as i heal him they'll jump me, save the one hes beating on?
