Chapter 9 The Twisted Soul

Windra was floating in another void but this time it wasn’t dark but it was white. Windra spun around to see where Aqua was but she was no where to be seen. He was alone again but he felt someone was with him.

“You won’t find her here, just be patient.” A voice that sounded so much like his own said.

“Where I’m I? Windra asked as he gazed into the nothingness.

“We’re in between the realm of life and the realm of Spirits.” The voice replied.

“Why am I here?” Windra quickly asked.

“You have a very interesting life Windra and I hope I can stay with you and future lives.” The voice said in a warm voice.

“What?” Windra asked turning to see who was speaking, but who ever spoke was gone.

At this Windra sighed and look down to see if there was something underneath him, no nothing but white. This only let Windra’s mind wander, the thoughts of his childhood and home began to fill his mind like water. Floating in the void reminded him of floating in the water, his hair spread out and the cool sun basking his face. All negative thoughts left his mind, he began to imagine he was floating in the waters of the LakeLands. Moments pasted before he felt a pulling at his leg and then he was pulled under the water.

“Gah what the, where!” Windra cried.

He looked around and noticed he was on the Zorai the stage, Aqua was next to him and eight homins.

“Well I see their magic is still as grand as ever.” A Fryos woman laughed.

“Oh I’m sorry welcome Guardian I’m La’Born’So and this is my husband Mo’Nika’Can.” La’Born’So told the guardians as she and her husband bowed.

“The first Guardian Warrior? Wha Windra!” Aqua asked before she pushed herself away when she saw her brother.

The others snickered.

“Why do you always pop in next to me with no warning?!” Aqua snapped

Windra just sighed, but soon lifted his gaze to the Warrior Guardains, Mo’Nika’Can looked just like Dak’Cove but La’Born’So was Fryos and Windra had never seen one before.

She had long black hair that was very soft at least that’s what it looked like. With two green stripes under each eye which looked like battle reminders she must have been in grand battles. Her skin was a darker tan then any Trykers and Windra even glanced at his tan to compare tan color, she was a lot darker. Then her shirt came into view it was short but very nice. It was just a red breast cover with gold trim, it was weird why a top would be so short but this is the Fryos style.

Windra gaze continued to examine La’Born’So clothing, when he reach her pants he noticed she wasn’t wearing a robe she was wearing pants. Just like the Matis male pants they were puffy but only slightly and just like her shirt they had a gold bane trim, boots and gloves were just like the shirt and pants gold trim.

“Huh where are those two it’s only fair that Windra and Aqua see their past selves.” La’Born’So grinned she knew Windra was examine her cloths.

“Never seen a Fryos huh?” Mo’Nika’Can asked with a grin looking directing at Windra.

“Umm…Well it’s…egh.” Windra choked

Mo’Nika’Can just laughed,” Calm down I’m just messing with you.”

When Mo’Nika’Can turned his back Windra let out his breath and fell against the stage floor, this only made everyone laugh even Aqua.

Windra just gazed at the flags of the stage until a long purple thing draped his face. He quickly jumped up and cast an ice orb but stopped when he truly saw that the purple thing was, it was long purple hair and it belonged to a male Tryker that looked just like him and next to him was another Tryker only female and hair was down to her shoulder blades she look like Aqua.

“Sorry did we scare you?” The two asked with a grin.

“This must be an illusion, you look just like me but your hair is different.” Aqua said as she walked around to see the face of her self. The other Guardians just laughed.

“Le’Sinta, Wind Dancer, it’s a pleasure.” The male said with a bow, hair falling over his shoulders.

“Le’Sindo, Water Dancer, it’s a pleasure a well.” The female said in a bow.

“Dancers, our past selves are dancers?” Aqua and Windra asked each other with puzzled looks.

“Grand dancers, best in all of Atys, the name is Led’Bodso and my wife Sen’Con’Cal.” A male Fryso told them as he and his wife walked to them. Sen’Con’Cal was dressed in a normal blue Tryker robe and Led’Bodso was also dressed in blue but a Fryos shirt was more like a vest, no shoulder covers.

“A Sage and a Mystic if you will? I haven’t been called dancers in ages.” Le’Sindo laughed.

“When did you both become mages?” Windra and Aqua both asked.

“This is not the time to discuss our pasts they can’t stay long in this realm for long periods of time so let’s say what must be said.” The Harvester guardian said as he walked into the light of the stages light orbs.

“Xe-Chona come on how many times can we meet the new Wind and Water Guardians?” La’Born’So said acting cute and cuddly.

A Tryker dressed in green came into view from behind Xe-Chona she gave La’Born’So a hard glare.

La’Born’So glared back at her.

“Please forgive La’Born’So she and Ga’Forn’Do argue a lot.” Mo’Nika’Can apologized.

“You see the reason we summoned you here was because we found the Guardian of Light.” Le’Sindo examined as she sat down in front of Windra and Aqua.

“Guardian of light?” Aqua asked.

“Yes you see the elements are all bond together by one another and tho many don’t think it Light is an element. One may also call the Guardian of Light the Spirit Guardian.” Le’Sinta explained.

“Since the guardians first appeared the Guardian of Light has been a spirit that protected Nexus, but…..it joined with a new born Silt girl around the time when you two were born. What the spirit did drain most of its energy and left him defenseless and now the darkness controls the young girl.” Le’Sinta explained.

“If the darkness takes complete control the girl it controls the spirit and the guardians fall.” Xe-Chona replied.

“What do we do?” Aqua and Windra blurted out.

“First you must understand how the guardians are connected. You see there are seven guardians, Aqua Guardian of Eternal Wisdom, the Sage of the Universe. Windra Guardian of the Wind, The Wind Rider. La’Beka The Fighter Guardian, Wielder of the Atys Blade. Be’Cona The Range Guardian, The Grand Gunman. Sa’Binga The Crafter Guardian, Weaver of the Threads of Atys. Ga’Lorda Harvester Guardian, Eye of Atys.” Mo’Nika’Can explained to the guardians.

A few moments past before Aqua asked “What about the Spirit Guardian?”

Silent fell over the other guardians, “We don’t know the darkness took the child before anyone knew what the spirit did?” Mo’Nika’Can sighed.

“Everyone shhhh we have company, show yourself!” La’Born’So yelled as she waves a hand for silence.

Everyone quickly formed a circle around Aqua and Windra, weapons at the ready. They scanned the area for any sight for sense of the new comer. They saw nothing but the sense of evil was still in the air, but where darkness was cloaking the newcomer.

A black mist formed behind Windra and Aqua and before they knew it a dagger was at their throats.

“I thought this would be a challenge but this is too easy.” A voice laughed from behind Aqua and Windra.

Everyone quickly turned around to see a cloaked being with a dagger around Aqua’s and Windra’s neck.

“My master’s said I could kill you any way I want, hmmm how to do it?” The cloaked being laughed as she tightened her grip on her daggers.

With a few shots of Led’Bodso and Sen’Con’Cal guns the hood of the being floated to the ground. The being was a female Tryker with short black hair and black clothes.

“It’s the Light Guardian!” Everyone yelled but Aqua and Windra remained silent as the cold daggers remained at their throats.

“Please Guardian of Light hah, the true power lies in darkness!” The Light Guardian laughed.

“Why are you doing this, you’re stronger then the darkness they can’t control you?” La’Born’So pleaded.

Aqua eye’s filled with tears as the past guardians argued, tho she tried to hold them back to be strong one slid down her cheek. Just as it fell Windra saw it sparkle then slash on the blade at her throat. Windra’s eye grew wide as he saw the tear turn the dagger to ice and crack.

“Huh?” The Light Guardian said.

The Dagger cracked again then shattered leaving only the hilt intact. Aqua quickly slide away and ran for cover behind Mo’Nika’Can. Seeing an opening Windra quickly grabbed the guardians hand and tightly clenched it.

“Led’Bodso and Sen’Con’Cal quickly shot the dagger!” Windra yelled.

Quickly they aimed and shot the dagger which shattered in several pieces. With the dagger gone Windra quickly grabbed her other hand and flipped her over his back. She hit the ground hard nearly knock her breath away, Mo’Nika’Can and Xe-Chona jumped her and pinned her to the floor of the stage.

“Aqua go where Windra is standing now and we begin to chant join us!” Le’Sinta and Le’Sindo boomed as the other guardians drew a circle around the Guardian of light. When it was finished Mo’Nika’Can and Xe-Chona ran out of it as it activated.

“What the hell is this?” The Light Guardian boomed as she rammed her side into the glowing circle.

“A magic seal, you’re in our realm now, we’ll banish the darkness out of you!” Le’Sinta boomed as she began to chant.

“You fool you need a clan to do that spell and with all the power of everyone here you would still fail.” The Guardian of Light laughed as she walked back to the center of the circle.

“We’ll see Windra Aqua now!” Le’Sindo cried.

Windra and Aqua quick began to chant with Le’Sinta and Le’Sindo as the other guardians formed a circle around the magic circle. They then became to chant as well, but this time to give there energy to the four main casters.

The Guardian of Light immediately began to try and break the circle of magic with every attack she knew, the circle only absorbed them. Half way through the spell the ground began to shake as a star was drawn in bright purple light. In the very center of the grand star were the guardians. Pillars of each element shot out from each point of the star as the star glowed brighter and the symbols on Windra’s and Aqua’s hand glowed wildly.

“Earth!” The Guardains boomed as the Pillar of Earth turned to stone covered in moss.

“Fire!” The Pillar of Fire then burst into flames

“Wind!” The Pillar of Wind became covered in a wild gust.

“Water!” The Pillar of Water turned into a fountain.

“Spirit.” The Guardian of Light whimpered. With that the last pillar glowed a bright white with a gray mist.

“We call on the gods and goddess of old and of new, we ask thy to banish the darkness in our friends heart! Jena, Ma’Duk, Kami, Karavan we call on all of you to help us banish the darkness!” Everyone boomed even the Guardian of Light.

A beam of colorful mist burst forth from the circle as everyone clapped their hands together to finish the spell. The beam lasted for several moments then died away to reveal all the guardians were on their knee’s trying to catch their breath and were the Guardian of Light stood was a Tryker girl about the same age as Windra and Aqua.

Windra quickly ran over to the girl, tripping every few steps. Windra kneeled down next to her and put two fingers on her neck, she was alive and breathing. He turned her over to get a better look at her face. She had gold hair with a bun in the back; it was pinned back with a crystal blue pin with a Lakeland cherry blossom. She had a young face with green slash tattoos under each eye.

“Brother is she ok?” Aqua asked as she ran over to her brother’s side.

“She ok, but who is she?” Windra asked looking up to see the other guardians running towards them.

“She’s a Slit, just look at her clothes.” Ga’Forn’Do said as she removed the girls left glove.

“Well of course it’s a medium quality Tryker clothes its even teal green.” La’Born’So replied with a plain look.

“I’m surprised you even know what teal looks like you’re so hick headed!” Ga’Forn’Do snapped.

“Ahh were I’m?” The girl finally asked as she opened her eye and revealed bright emerald green eye’s, but her eyes where filled with fear when you saw Windra and Aqua.

“Get away!” The girl screamed as a wave of light from forth from her body pushing everyone several feet away.

“Wow now that’s power, the wave of light the whole stage!” La’Born’So laughed.

“You do ever take anything seriously, she could have killed us!” Xe-Chona snapped as he got to his feet.

“Yeah right we’re already dead and besides I love to fight!” La’Born’So laughed.

“They’re not!” Xe-Chona snapped again pointing towards Aqua and Windra.

Windra and Aqua just looked at each other.

“He is right you know.” Mo’Nika’Can replied.

“Whose side are you on?” La’Born’So snapped back.

Windra and Aqua looked at each other and nodded.

“Shut up all of you! Gezzz if you sent lease time arguing we could of helped the Light Guadrian and gone home by now!” Windra and Aqua boomed.

Everyone became wide eyed and shut up at the guardian’s sudden outburst.

“Sorry about that, so what’s your name anyway?” Aqua asked the girls as she helped her up.

“I’m La’Bele’Chon, but every one calls me La’Bele. I’m sorry if I seem so wimpy but I feel like I was just reborn. I’m really the adventurous type and I love magic.” La’Bele told them with a warm smile.

“Well, ummm, you were, darkness took over your body and tried to control you, ah never mind.” Le’Sinta explained.

“Un huh, wait now I remember, Le’Sinta, Le’Sindo, everyone!” La’Bele cried as she ran to hug all her old friends.

“Umm not to interrupt but how is La’Bele going to travel with us if her body is in another region?” Aqua asked trying not to be rude.

“Already taken care of the Karavan and the Kami helped us get your body to Zorai, you’re probably resting in the elders room.” Ga’Forn’Do explained.

As the guardian hugged their old friend Aqua and Windra walked to the edge of the stage and gazed at the moon, planet, and stars.

“Brother do you miss home?” Aqua asked her brother as she sat down as let her legs slide over the edge.

“Aye I do, very much it’s just not the same here, no sandy beaches, no crystal water, no sweet Lakeland candy, I feel lost.” Windra told his sister as he took a seat next to her.

“I know what you mean the Jungle is no Lakeland, hey remember when that woman got drunk and thought she was a Fryos.” Aqua asked her brother.

“Yeah and was thought a palm tree was a Kittin and she her weapon tool was her weapon. She tried fighting the tree must never came close to a hit cause she a meter away.” Windra laughed.

“Then when she thought she won she cheered for several minutes then past out on the sands.” Aqua laughed.

They looked at each other and began to laugh even harder, so hard they fell off the stage.

“We’re ok just give us a minute!” Windra cheered but broke out laughing. Aqua laughed with him.

“Are they drunk?” La’Bele asked as they heard Aqua and Windra laughing.

Everyone just shook their heads.

“We’re ok we just remember a funny moment, oh remember when she thought the Barman was a yubo!” Aqua cheered then fell back to the ground laughing.

“Are they the new Wind and Water guardians?” La’Bele asked.

The other guardians nodded. This just made her sigh.

“They may be seem like umm well odd balls, but just us they are very loyal and very powerful.” Le’Sinta told Le’Bele

“I guess we should return to our bodies.” La’Bele sighed not wanting to leave.

“Umm I think we should let those to stop laughing before we sent them back.” Le’Sindo replied still hearing Windra and Aqua remember funny moments and laughing their heads off.

All the other guardians nodded.

“Wait what about the Dark Ones we still need to banish them!?” Mo’Nika’Can quick replied.

“Huh well I guess we still need top banish them, ready La’Bele?” Ga’Forn’Do asked La’Bele with a wink.

“Well let’s do it!” La’Bele cheered
