For some time, Kityara slept, and as she slept, she dreamed. At first, her dreams were filled with the horror of that last battle she'd faced, where Sangian had died, along with the rest of her team, going down amidst a swarm of kitin. These dreams filled her with pain and sorrow, but these feelings passed. Then, she began to dream of friends she'd made; the warmth of Galena, the laughter of Aelvana, the genius of Gandolph, the others who'd touched her life, in one way or another. She felt sorrow then, as well, for these people were also gone, but her memories were happier, and over time, the pain died out, to be replaced by the warmth of her recollections.
Then, she awoke, finding herself in Thesos, of all places. "The... the... thesos?" she uttered, confused. "How did I get here?" Hailing a Matis man passing by, she asked, "This is Thesos, right?" He indicated that indeed it was. "I remember a battle, in the Undersprings," she continued, half to herself, "The rest of my team died, and I... I am here."
Then, she felt a breeze, and she looked down, to discover she had no armor at all, no weapons, no gear whatsoever. "And what happened to my gear? I know I had armor, and weapons, and they're all gone!" Her expression was one of utter confusion. The man she'd accosted hovered closer; hers seemed a most intriguing tale, and he wanted to see how it evolved.
"I remember... they all died... the kitin were coming for me... I was dying," she continued brokenly. "Then... I was here, in my underwear." She struggled to remember what happened between the battle and this moment, but to no avail. Looking around, she mused, "Time has passed, from the looks of things." To the Matisian, she said, "Can you tell me the year?"
"It is 2533."
In shock, she exclaimed, "How can this be? More time has passed then I'd thought! Tell me, sir, what is happening in the world today?"
"Well, war is in the winds," he replied. "Possibly a civil war, pitting homin against homin."
"This can't be! I had friends of all the races; I can't bear the thought of going to war against other homins. Could I have been spared in the Undersprings, only to face such a calamity?"
"Well, I have friends among all the races myself," he told her, "and none of them want to see this coming about. Perhaps you were spared to work for peace."
"You may be right," Kityara replied. "No one knows the true extent of the Kami's powers, and their motives are often incomprehensible, but in this, you may have it." She sank to the ground, her normally strong back slumped forward. "I don't know what I'm going to do."
As she sat there, the Matisian contacted one of his friends. After communicating with his friend briefly, he sat next to Kityara. "By the way, I'm Bahtan, and I am newly arrived from the refugee camps. My friend, Lurena, may be able to give you some clothing; it isn't right that you walk around nearly naked like this."
Kityara smiled at him. "I am Kityara, and I am deeply in your debt, Bahtan."
As they sat, a Tryker woman walked up to them. From her questioning glance at Kityara, this must have been Bahtan's friend. "Kityara, this is Lurena. She is going to make some clothing for you."
Kityara nodded to the Tryker. "Thank you very much. It does get cold in the desert at night." Lurena simply smiled at her, eyeing her for measurements before she left to gather the materials she would need.
Lurena returned shortly after and gave Kityara a beautiful white outfit with gold trim, in the Fyros style. "You know, Kityara, from what Bahtan tells me, you have no one now. It sounds as if you would fit in well with our guild; we accept members of all races and creeds, and we remain neutral." Lurena then went on to give some more detail about her guild; not a large guild, to be sure, but dedicated to building bonds between the races. "After all, it is the kitin who are the true enemy." Kityara nodded at this. "Homins need to work together, not fight each other."
Nodding to Bahtan, Lurena said, "So, Kityara, if you like, you may join our guild, if you think our goals and yours coincide."
Kityara beamed happily. "I appreciate the offer, Lurena, and it sounds like just the kind of home I would have looked for. Thank you very much, and I accept."
With that, Kityara found that, while her old friends were gone, she was already beginning to make new ones. And from elsewhere, a hidden watcher smiled. Kityara was already beginning to fulfill her purpose; perhaps in time, hatred amongst the homin races would be replaced by love...

It was VeniVidiVici. They're neutral and open to all races
