I'm kinda enjoying the game so far. My fighting skill is at 25, I originally wanted to do something with guns (because guns are cool, and it was what I used to use in SWG before it killed itself), but I couldn't find any powerful enough ones on the starter island so I went with melee, which I'm also enjoying just as much.

I like the game world so far, it's a different take on what I've usually seen and the water is pretty <3 I also really like all the weird alien designs and the sound effects, shame there's hardly any music to speak of

Even though I didn't expect many to be on the starter island, I still haven't run across anyone on the mainland...hmm

Last but not least, every couple of minutes I get a little choke up where a message with a computer with a big red X crossing it out pops up and it says connection error, and the game freezes from 5 seconds - a minute. Does everyone else get this? I'm not sure how well I'll be able to play with this error, might just quit the game seeing how it'll be unplayable if that continues

Sounds to me like you have a networking issue, though could it be something else you're running in the background, like Outlook Express checking your mailbox every two minutes? Take a look at the Network FAQ, the LinkSys FAQ and the Live Chat Support Tool. All links in the Technical Support forum. Good luck, and persevere with the problem because it will in the end be very well worthwhile

I don't play at the kind of time you posted at, being in the UK, but there are a lot of players from west coast US that I'd expect to be around, and a few Aussies too.

Yes it sounds like you are having a router issue or something, best follow the guides Jamela posted or ask the support team

As for the lack of people, are you a Zorai? They are natoriously underpopulated compared with the other races unfortunatly

What race are you playing and what time (in GMT if you're outside UK)?

That can have a major effect on population. As Kibs said, if you're Zorai then that will have a bearing since they're the least populated race. Also the time of day you play can as well. Where are you from?
